I walked into the house and closed the door I let out a sigh I gotta talk to Zuri.
"MALANI KIMANI ALSINA," I heard my dad spoke.
I made my way towards the family room where I heard his voice coming from.
"Yes sir," I spoke as I walked into the family room.
"Sit down now," my mama spoke.
I sat down.
"Where's Ri I need to talk to her?"
"She's over at Ashanee house she'll be here soon."
I nodded.
"You want to tell us why you thought it was a great idea to tell your sister business to the entire school with her ex best friend."
"Zuri is having sex so why is it a problem with her."
"Zuri isn't having sex and who told you that."
"Kinslee did."
"Well she was wrong, you remember when Zuri was in the hospital," my daddy asked.
"Yeah y'all never told me what happened to her."
"It's because that she was raped by Kinslee big brother which is why they stopped being friends even though the exact same thing happened to Kinslee.
"Wait what?"
"Unfortunately it happened to your sister and y'all opened up old wounds."
"Basically traumatizing her all over again."
"You owe your sister a big apology and you're no longer allowed to hang with Kinslee and her friends ever again."
"Yes ma'am."
"Not only will you be apologizing in private you will be doing it publicly as well," my dad spoke.
"Yes sir."
The front door opened and closed A'Shanee and Zuri walked in the living room. I stood up and walked over to Zuri. I wrapped my arms around her and told her that I was sorry.
I was wrong for going along with Kinslee and even speaking on her situation without knowing the truth. Zuri is literally one of my best friends and I hurt her. We pulled apart.
"I accept your apology but I don't fully forgive you yet."
"Okay."
"You know your Pink and White Dunks?"
"Yeah."
"Can I wear them until mine come in?"
"Yes."
"And I got someone who wants to talk to you."
"Who?"
"That's for me to know and for you to find out this Saturday at 7:30 Shanee agreed to chaperone."
"Okay."

We hugged then we did our handshake then we both went upstairs Zuri went to her room and I went to mine.

My parents looked at me and I smiled then made my way into their kitchen to get me something to eat.
"Who Lani got a date with," my daddy asked.
I turned around and looked at him.
"Can't tell you."
