My Rule

Chapter 5

I woke up hearing Carl put on his clothes. I sat up and got out of bed. He scowled when I walked past him, and I gave him a death stare.

I walked out and ate breakfast quickly. I walked back and put on a long sleeve blue shirt with black jeans and my converse. I put my hair in braided pig tails and went to the weapon room.

My two favorite rooms: the kitchen, and the weapon room. I strapped two knives to my waist and grabbed my AK-47 and took a small bag. I was in.charge of getting silverware. I heard someone come in. My mom used to say I was born with eyes of a hawk, ears of a wolf, and nose like a snake. I always knew she was right. I actually saved my cousin one time from something poisoned in her wedding cake.

Glenn came in and wrapped his arms around my waist. "HEY

LILLS! You ready for your first supply run?" He said. "Chyeah!" I laughed. "It's a lotta fun!" "Im sure it is!" I said.

We walked outside and I hugged my sister goodbye and saw her kiss Glenn. I wish I had found my apocalypse love partner already. It's been 5 years now am I going to find him when I'm 80?! I'll still be attractive then.

"Alright guys! Let's go!" Daryl said. Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, me, and Carl were all going. We packed into the truck but it was a pickup truck so Daryl and Carol sat up front, Glenn stayed on lookout for anything standing up, and me, Michonne and Carl stayed in the back. Carl kept looking at me like I disgust him. I don't know what the hell I did to deserve this. I played some eye spying games with Michonne though. It was her turn next.

"Okay. I spy with my little eye......." "WALKERS!" I yelled getting up and shooting my gun at them. "LILLY STOP!" Michonne pulled my gun away. "But-" "They're not going to hurt us right now." I pulled away and slumped back down in the back if the truck.

We got to the houses and we split up in partners. And I couldn't have been lucky enough. I got stuck with Carl. We walked up to the house and he lighty pushed me out of the way.

"I've got it." He said. He ran up to the door but he fell back saying "Dammit."

I rolled my eyes and kicked the door down entering it. He got up and followed me. I went through the house and collected knives, forks, and spoons. I also found some food so I took that too. Carl went upstairs and I followed him. I saw a walker come around the corner close to Carl.

"WATCH OUT!" I yelled pushing him and shooting it down twice in the head.

"I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!" He yelled. "Yea but you didn't see that coming." I retorted. "You know what?! I don't need this from you!" I rolled my eyes and he continued yelling at me.

"You know, I've tried to protect you for the past few days,and all you gave me was shit back!" "Leave me alone." I said. " I don't deserve that! I'm trying to keep everyone alive here and you are one of those people! And on top of that, you are so much to have to look out for!" "Carl I'm done with this conversation." "NO! Why do you think you're better than everyone? Why do you keep doing this?! What did I ever do to you-"

That was it. I whipped around and grabbed his shirt and pushed him up into the wall. "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOY DID TO ME?! I yelled, "EVER SINCE YESTERDAY AFTER YOU SAVED ME YOU HAD GIVEN ME A FUCKING ATTITUDE TELLING ME THAT I NEED TO BE MORE CAREFUL, EVEN THOUGH IT WASNT MY FAULT THAT I GOT PULLED DOWN! AND YOU EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO INSULT ME SAYING THAT I WAS SHOWING OFF HOW WELL I CAN SHOOT THINGS BUT I CAN'T SAVE MY OWN SELF!!! THAT IS MY PROBLEM!"

He looked at me terrified. I don't know if it was because of my yelling or my super strongness. I put him down and tried to walk away but he pushed me down on the ground. I fell face first and cut my lip. I growled and got up clenching my fist and punched Carl in the face hard. He fell back and then got up wiping the blood from his nose. I had anger in my eyes and started yelling again.

"AFTER THAT YOU WOULD JUST PUSH ME?! WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?! I TELL YOU WHAT MY PROBLEM IS, AND YOU JUST FORGET THAT AND-" he walked up to me and pushed me against the wall pulling my face to his and.... and..... and.... kissed me?

I felt like I was on air, I felt my knees getting weak. My heart fluttered, and my breath hitched in my throat. Wow. This is what it felt like to kiss someone. WAIT!!! MY RULE!!! UGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I tried to pull away but he closed the gap between us and kissed me rougher. I tried to say stop and pushed him away. I saw some walkers. "WALKERS!" I yelled. "Baby please don't be like this. Just go with it-" "IM SERIOUS!!" I pulled away and shot them down. I heard Carol screaming for us to go now.

We bolt down the stairs and run out the front door. We were greeted by dozens of walkers. I kept shooting for my life and so did Carl. Daryl didn't know we weren't on board and he started driving. Carol and Michonne tried to get us up but we had to start running. The walkers ran after us. I ran fast hurting my ankle but it was either run faster or stop and die a horrible death. I ran faster and jumped on the car with Carol and Michonne catching me. Then we tried to get Carl up here.

"CARL RUN FASTER! COME ON HURRY!" We all screamed. He ran faster and took a death jump. He grabbed the car but slipped down. I grabbed his arms and pulled him up with all my might. I held onto my shoulders while I grabbed his side and pulled him up. Daryl made a swift turn and we slid to the other side me falling on top of Carl. I looked at him and quickly got off. Carol claimed into the for my seat and we all sat down.

"What happened to your lip and your nose?" Michonne asked. We looked at each other and chuckled a little.

"We, uh, had a disagreement." He said. I stopped laughing and just couldn't believe he kissed me.

We got back and put everything away. I ate some dinner and went to go shower. I slipped on my pajamas and jumped into my bed. Carl came in and he said goodnight. "Night." I said blankly. I had to stick to my rule.
