"AGGHH!" Was all I heard. That followed by Carl's scream too. I was giving him a back rub when it started to get rough. He pulled me on to the bed making me sit in his lap, putting his face in my neck. He rubbed me all over kissing my neck and collar bone. My rubs on his back became scratches.

"OUCH!" He yelled making me jump again.

"Baby I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" I asked turning him around examining his back. His shirtless and muscular back now had three scratches on each side of his back from shoulder to the small of his waist, bleeding.

"Gah! Come on!" He yelled grabbing his shirt and putting it on. I grabbed our guns and he took my hand as we ran outside to see where the yelling came from.

Hand in hand we ran outside to see what was going on. Carl stopped short and guarded me. I looked around his shoulder and saw all these walkers trying to break the gate down. How the hell did that even happen?! Michonne and Rick put locks on the gate and covered it up. Rick got everyone together and started giving a speech.

"You hear it! Some of you saw it! They got back! Half of them. Enough to surround us! Look I know you're scared. You haven't seen anything like that. You haven't been through anything like this. The others, Daryl, Abraham, Sasha. Alright? They have vehicles. They'll come back."

"They'll come back." A woman said.

"That's right. They're gonna lead them away just like the others." Rick answered. "And Glenn and Nicholas will come through those gates. They know what they're doing. What we need to do, is keep quiet during the day. Okay. Keep the lights off at night. Make this place as quiet as possible."

"This place is a graveyard." A woman said.

"The gates broke open and those walkers came for us. All of them." A man replied. "The plan that Rick put in place, stopped them from happening. He got half of them away. I was out there recruiting with Daryl. I wanted to leave, but Daryl wanted to keep looking for people. We did what I wanted, and I set a trap. I lost my whole pack. Those people who attacked us, they found their way back here because of me." He said.

Everyone stood in silence and disbelief. How could he be so selfish? Dienna walked away. People started calling her name but she walked out as if she was walking on air. I fingered my gun just in case she tried to pull something. Rick walked off too, as did everyone else. One by one.

Carl walked me back inside and we cooled off. Everything seemed so perfect when we came here, but now it's all falling apart. I placed around our room, thinking. I wasn't even thinking about anything. For the sixth time, I passed my window, and saw the children carving in names of people whom we have lost. I shook my head and collapsed on my bed. Carl laid next to me and rubbed my back.

"I think I should go and talk to Ron." He breathed out slowly tracing a circle on my back.

"Ron?" I asked sitting up. "Why him?" I asked.

"Because... I don't really know... I guess he needs a friend?" He said. I examined his eyes. "Okay. See you later." I said kissing his lips. He rubbed my back and then left the room.

*Carl's P.O.V*

I walked out of the house quickly. Man I don't even know where to begin to explain if she knew the truth. Enid wasn't dead. That's just what we thought. Ron's family left her in the house so Lilly wouldn't see her. Even though Enid was bad and hurt my girl, I still had some sympathy for her.

Walking around the corner, I saw Ron sitting in the grass stabbing the ground with a knife.

"Hey..." I said. "You okay?" He looked at me and looked down. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" He asked. I breathed out a breath of frustration. "Have you seen Enid?" "Not since I've seen her with you." He said monotone like. "She climbed over the wall, and now she's trapped out there-"

"What makes you think she's not dead?" He asked me. His words were heavy, and full of anger.

"Come on man." I didn't know what to say. He glanced at me and got up. "Look, ill go find her, I just need your help. Maybe we can climb!"

"He interrupted me quickly and saying, "I'm not helping you Carl."

"Look, this isn't for me. It's for Enid. Your friend?"

"You mean my girlfriend, I mean, which she was. Am I right?" Now he was being a jackass. "So you're just gonna leave her out there?"

"I told her to stop going over the wall because there's bad people out there, and it's dangerous."

"But not if you know what you're doing." I tried to say. I was just trying to reason and he gives me an attitude.

"Well I'm not gonna let you go out there." He said. That's it, I'm done here. I turned around and walked back to the house. I'm not playing with him.

"Carl. Carl you're not going out there alone!" He called after me. He grabbed me by the shirt and I pushed him off. "Back off!" I yelled. This kid then pushed me. Who the hell, oh no no no. I grabbed him and pushed him down. He fell on the ground and winced. What a marshmallow.

I walked away until he said something else.

"Ill tell your dad! Then they'll go out and find you, and someone will die. Heh? Saved my life now I'm saving yours."

I turned to look at him, then shook my head and walked away.

*Rick's P.O.V*

I was up watching all the walkers try and get in the gate. Every so often a few more would come and join the group. Lovely lovely sights.

"Darly, Sasha, Abraham? Do you copy?" I asked in the walkie talkie.

"Hey Rick? Can I come up?" I heard someone ask. I looked down and saw Ron. He wanted to talk to me?

"Sure. Come on up." I said.

He came up and scanned the crowd. "You didn't see uh, Enid she uh, used to climb over the walls and spend some time out there. I don't even know why she just wanted to. But uh, I think she went out there to see the attack." He said stuttering.

"What? She's still out there?!" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah I don't know where she is. None of us do. Carl wanted to go out, and I stopped him, but he insisted, so uh, yeah."

"Well, do you know where he is now?" I asked. My son cannot be going out there, especially for her! He has Lilly, and even though he might still care somewhat for her, I don't see why it's so special for him to go find her.

"Yeah he's at the house with Lilly and taking care of Judith. She's cute, by the way. But what are you doing up here?" He asked me.

"I'm trying to get a hold of the others. See what's going on."

"I can guard it for you. Promise." He said. Wow, this kid actually is having a normal conversation with me.

"Thanks Ron." I said patting his back.

"Oh and uh, I've been thinking about what you said in the woods. How I need to protect myself and all, and help out around the place...canyouteachmehowtoshoot?" He said quickly at the end. Comprehending what he just said, I understood.

I nodded and whipped my gun out emptying all the bullets. I gave it to him and let him shoot one of the walkers below us. He held it shaking a little, I could tell he was nervous.

"Relax Ron. Just focus."

Later that day...

Dienna was stabbing a walker in the chest repeatedly. I ran and stabbed it in the head once.

"I want to live." She said. "I want this place to stay standing."

"Then you need to lead them." I told her.

"Heh. I can't lead them." She said snickering. "They don't need me. They need you Rick. This is what life looks like now." She said.
