My Rule

Chapter 7

I tossed and turned the while night. I had lots of nightmares from the time I got hit by the truck. It was really scary and I could've died from it. I held my necklace and then tried to go back to sleep.

I woke to a Sun shining day. I sat up in bed and took the covers off sitting at the edge of my bed wiping my morning face. I got up and tried to walk across the room. I felt dizzy and light headed. I saw blue outlining of everything and tried to control my breathing. I blinked once and then didn't open my eyes. I heard a loud bang but didn't know what it was.

Maggie's P.O.V

I heard a bang come from Carl and Lilly's room. I went to go check it out. I walked in and saw Lilly on the floor. "Lilly! What are you doing-" I asked her rolling her over. I saw her and her eyes were rolled in the back of her head. "OH MY GOD GLENN! CAROL! RICK! GET IN HERE!" I tried shaking her awake and yelling for her name but she wasn't waking up. Rick and Glenn come in and Glenn pulled me away from her and Rick tried to get her awake. Carl came in and saw her and started bawling. Abraham pulled him away and Michonne and Rick took her to the medical room. They worked on her for a couple of minutes and then her eyes flashed open.

My P.O.V

My eyes flash open and saw everyone around me. I sat up quickly but everyone held me down. "What happened?!" I asked.

"You passed out Lilly. What happened?" I tried to remember.

"I was getting up from bed and felt dizzy." "What was bothering you?" Rick asked me. "The day I got hit by a truck." Maggie covered her mouth and smoothed my hair. "Dont worry about that anymore... it's done and over with." She said. I sat up and went to go get changed.

I put jeans and a black shirt on with my combat boots. I left my hair down to go put it up in the bathroom. I walked out and turned only to get stopped by Carl. "Lilly!" He hugged me tightly. "Are you okay?" I nodded and hugged him back.

"Carl, I'm okay." I said pulling back. "Dont ever scare me like that again." He said pulling me back in. My heart was fluttering like crazy. My heart said Carl, but my brain said My Rule. I pulled away and walked away. "Lilly come back here!" Carl said. "We have to go get walkers let's go!" I said.

I ran outside shooting them down quickly. It was a lot of work because there were a lot of them. A couple hours passed by of doing this and then we all gathered in for a meeting at dinner.

Rick stood up on the table. "Alright guys. We need a lot more things if we're going to survive the winter. It's mid- November now, and we need to get some wither things. Maggie, Carol, Judith, me, and Stephen will stay. Daryl, Michonne, Carl, Abraham, Glenn, Tia and Lilly will go and get some supplies. Got it everyone?" I nodded and went to my cell to start packing.

Carl and I packed for almost the whole day. I grabbed 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, 2 pairs of underwear and bras, and 3 pairs of socks. I was only going to bring one pair of shoes though. It's just like I was going on vacation or anything.

I packed a few things of food in my bag, along with 4 bottles of water, and four 50 packs of bullets for my gun. I grabbed 2 knives, and my gun. I packed it all in the back seat of the car I was taking. Daryl, Michonne, Carl and I took one car, and Abraham, Tia, and Glenn took the truck. We packed everything up now so we could start early tomorrow.

We all ate early and I went to take a shower and I enjoyed it. I put on some fresh clothes and flopped on my bed reading my book. Maggie came in with Carl and he climbed up top while Maggie sat on my bed.

"Better get some sleep little sis. You've got a big couple days ahead of you." I nodded and put the book down and hugged her. She smoothed my hair and kissed the top of my head and walked out saying goodnight.

She was the only exception of my rule. She was my sister, and the only one I had left. But Carl was slowly going to become the other one that would break my rule- but I can't let that happen.
