Chapter 31

I woke up to another empty bed. Dammit Carl. I rolled out and put on my blue sweatshirt with my blue jeans and combat boots. I put my hair in braids and walked out.

I skipped breakfast mainly because I wanted to find Carl. Also, everything from yesterday with Enid made me feel terrible. Not terrible the way I treat her, but the way how she tried to make everything better. But I'm not that easy to get past. And she should know that by now.

I walked outside and saw Carl and Enid talking to each other. Oh hell no, this was not happening. I walked over but got blocked by Sasha.

"Hey Lilly, can you please help me with the horses?" She asked.

"Umm.... I.. uh.." I looked behind her seeing them laughing together. That made my blood boil. "Sure." I said.

We walked to the horses and we rode them into the shed and tied them up giving them food. They were so pretty. My horse was named Gail. I don't know why I named her that but I always liked the name. It seemed pretty to me.

When I finished I ran to the tool shed. And sure enough, they were still there.

"Hey Carl." I said walking over to him putting my hands on his shoulders. "Morning Lilly." That's weird. He usually always said, 'Morning Babe'. That kinda made my heart ache.

"What are you doing up so early?" "Well, I thought I'd get everything done this morning so I could spend the rest of the day with you and Judith. And Enid came over to help. Isn't that nice?" He said.

I looked at her and she smiled at me innocently, and I didn't like it. "Yes, very nice." I said through my almost clenched teeth. "Well, I'm here now, so we won't be needing 3..." I said leaning my face into Carl's. He smiled looking up and kissed my lips. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Enid with an uncomfortable look on her face looking away.

"Oh and Enid," I said pulling away from Carl, "I think Tia needs someone to talk to. She still can't get Stephen's death out of her mind." She looked at me kind of rolling her eyes to the side but smiling and nodding walking off.

Man, revenge is so sweet.

I hope you're enjoying these past few chapters. I'm still having some writers block but it's getting better.

I'm not a fan of Enid by the way. Just the thought of her and Carl together makes me kind of sick. I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks this. Comment in this chapter what you feel about her.
