Chapter 35

I rolled over and squinted at the light. I wasn't in the horse stable. I was in my cell and saw Carl in the chair. His hat was tilted covering his forehead.

"Hi Carl." I said sitting up.

"Lilly. We have to talk." He said slowly looking up. "I'm listening." I said.

"Lilly, I love you. I really do. But what you did yesterday was horrible. You choked a girl who didn't do anything on purpose. And I have been thinking about it and it just makes me sick."

I rolled my eyes smiling and looking to my side. "So you're just going to believe her and not your own girlfriend? Even after I told you how she tortured me when I was little?"

"You choked her for something she did 6 years ago."

"No, I choked her because she was a liar. I choked her because she shot me on purpose and I know it. I choked her because even after all our little talks we had about the 'friendship' she wanted, she went and fucked it up again. And if you don't want to believe that, then that's your problem."

He shook his head. "You're not the girl who I loved anymore. You have become a monster. And I can't be with someone who I know can hurt someone else like that."

My heart dropped 6 feet under. My chest felt as if someone just blew it up with a bomb. My mind was shot. I couldn't believe he said that to me.

"So that's it? After all this time you're just going to say that to me? I thought you loved me Carl. I thought that you understood me and cared for me."

"I did. I truly did love,understand, and care for you Lilly. But not anymore."

"Carl you're breaking my heart." I cried.

"It's over Lilly. I'm sorry." Be.said walking out of the cell. I sat there crying with my mouth open wondering what just happened. I couldn't believe it. I got up and threw my axe all over the cell. Screaming.

"SCREW YOU CARL GRIMES! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!"
