Chapter 49

He was breathing heavily and was holding a pose that showed that he threw the knife at Enid.

Why would he do that? He hurt his own girlfriend. Well, it wouldn't be the first time unfortunately.

I was laying in my own small pool of blood on the grounds of Alexandria with Enid bleeding out of her shoulder caused by Carl's actions. Wow.

"What the hell is going on?" He asked. I couldn't speak. My throat hurt from screaming, and trying to scream. Enid ripped the knife out of her shoulder angrily.

"I was going to kill her because she ruined everything! She ruined my plans and I had to kill her so I could get back at her for what she did and make her feel sorry!" She said. Daryl, Carol, Michonne, Adan, and Maggie surrounded us.

"Why? She didn't do anything wrong!"

"Yes she did! She was too nosy and ruined half my life! So I took you and-" she started but she covered her mouth quickly.

"You what?" Carl asked confused. He looked at me on the ground. I was holding my knee close to my body to keep the blood from flowing out. But that really went far *note my sarcasm*.

Carl looked back at Enid sadly. "You don't even like me that much do you?"

She looked at him sadly in defeat and rolled her eyes.

"Do you?" He asked sternly taking a step towards her. She backed away a couple steps.

"You did this because you just wanted to get back at her for something that she did almost 6 years ago? You tried to kill her because of that?! What the hell is the matter with you, you selfish prick!"

Rick stepped forward. "Son that's enough."

"No dad! It's not enough! The past three months I've been with this bitch and she hasn't liked me for me? She turned me into something I'm not? She made me think the real love of my life was bad? Well guess what Enid? We're done! Absolutely finished! I thought you liked me, and I thought I liked you. I thought Lilly didn't care about me. But I know what's what now. I know the truth. I love Lilly, not you. We're done."

Was what was happening really real? Did he mean that? My heart fluttered as he said those words. He did love me. He did. I felt tears brim my eyes. Tears of joy.

"FINE! I never liked you anyways! Go love a bitch if you want!"

"I will! But she's not a bitch. She's my bitch."

I laughed and let some tears of joy fall down. She stomped off to her room and Carl ran to me and hugged me. "I love you. I hope you know that. I'm so sorry for all of this. Please forgive me." He cried into my shoulder.

I pulled back and smiled kissing his lips softly. "I forgive you. Just trust me next time." I said. "Always." He replied.

They all carried me inside and treated my wounds. It took some hours for my ankle and shoulder but I was okay afterwards.

We ate a big dinner tonight. For once I felt happy again. Carl had carried me to bed. He held me tightly and kissed me roughly. When Brianna came in she was horrified.

"ACK! PDA! My eyes!" We laughed and Carl kissed me one last time. "Goodnight beautiful." He said. I smiled and said goodnight.

Brianna flopped on her bed picking up the covers. I shut off the light and turned over.

"Hey?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"I told you he would come running back."

I smiled and I knew she could see it even though I was turned over. She was right. I got my baby back.
