Chapter 69

Rick and Maggie were discussing something. I didn't know what it was, but I guess it was something serious. I hope that Glenn is okay though. Its been about a week. If he was dead, oh God. Maggie would only have me left. If Carl ever left, I couldn't handle it. He is the one I live for.

During sometime in the afternoon, Rick took me, Carl, and Roy for a walk. Rick tore off a piece of paper that the pastor put up.

"Dad!" Carl said embarrassed. I looked at the pastor and mouthed 'sorry'to him. He nodded and out another paper up.

We found a small clearing and settled down. Rick pulled out a bunch of guns. "See this? This is what you'll start with?" He said to Roy.

"Ohh." I said causing them to look at me. "We're taking classes now, heheh."

"He needs to learn Lilly. Just like how you did." Rick said with sympathy.

"Psh. Bullshit. I learned within two seconds on how to shoot a revolver when I was 11. Wasn't my best experience, but hada learn somehow, right?" I said sarcastically but with hurt in my voice. God mom I miss you.

Carl rubbed my back and kissed my temple before turning his attention back to his dad.

"Now right in front of you, you gotta gun them down, then shoot." Rick started again.

"You're gonna be scared Roy." Carl chipped in. "You will be."

"You're not gonna have time to think. You just gotta pull it." Rick said.

"And if you miss," I said, "then you're done. For life."

He aimed at the wall but there was no shot in it. "What? Can I shoot?"

Rick shifted a little. "We don't want to draw the walkers attention. But keep that with you to get a handle on what it feels like to carry one." He explained.

"Oh, you don't wanna waste bullets now." Roy nodded understanding. I looked at Carl and hid my smile.

"You'll learn." Carl said smiling. Roy looked at him and smirked, but with tone. I made a face, confused. Uncomfortable tension rose between us all, and it confused the hell outta me. I walked off and went yo hang out with Brianna.

She and I walked around for a bit before we walked into her house. We ate some food and looked outside.

"Yanno, it doesn't seem that everything is so bad anymore. I mean, we are starting to get along better, and we're building everything back up. It's a good change here." She told me taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Yeah." I agreed. "Everything got a little better when Enid and Pete died." I said. Brianna turned to me and looked at me weirdly.

"You killed Enid though." She said. Whipping my head around I looked at her, shocked.

"Yeah. I did. And do you know why I did?" I asked her getting a little attitude in my voice.

"Lills, I know it was for a reason, but that reason was for something that happened in the 6th grade. And for a boy. Was it all really necessary?" She asked.

I got up and walked over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders.

"I did not kill her because of Carl, or because of the sixth grade. No. I killed her because she ruined half my life, and then tried to kill me for blaming her that she knew what she did was wrong. Not the other way around!" I growled at her.

She looked at me with fear in her eyes, the first time I've ever seen her show this emotion. I let go of her, and looked down.

"I'm sorry. But you have to believe that what I did was for the right reason. For the benefit of all of you. Not just me, Bri." I said. She looked around and held her stomach.

"Bri what's wrong?" Is asked.

"Lills , there's something I gotta tell you. It's about Enid." She said. I looked at her in confusion.

"What is it-"

"Oh my God!!!" I heard Maggie scream from outside. I got up and looked outside. She was running towards the gates! I sprung up and ran outside the house going after her, but stopped short in my tracks to see green balloons flying in the air.

"It's Glenn!" She exclaimed crying. I smiled and held my breath. Finally! He's here!

All of a sudden, extremely loud creaks sounded, and we all turned our heads to the building. It started to fall down, in the direction of the gate!

"NOOOOO!" I cried out running back to the house. It crashed down and everyone started running for their lives.
