I rushed out of the house, ripping my necklace off my neck and throwing it down on the grass. How dare they slap me? They're supposed to be my parents! I thought. I could hear my mom and dad calling and cursing at me to get back inside. I could hear Maggie and Beth's cries from inside. I walked into the road never once turning back. I could hear my dad rush towards me. "LILLY! WATCH OUT!" I heard a loud horn and looked to my right, blindly seeing the truck because of its headlights on, and I thought it would stop. But it didn't. I tried to block myself but I felt it crash into me. And I was for sure dead......
"AAAGGHHH AGGHH AGGHHHHHH!!!!" I screamed sitting up in my bed kicking and flailing my arms all around. "LILLY STOP IT!" Carl yelled at me. I had cold sweats and tears rolling down my cheeks with Carl holding me close.
"Lilly, what happened?" He asked rubbing my back. I sniffed and breathed out. "T-the t-t-truck hit m-me." I stuttered crying a little more.
"Shhh shhh its okay it's okay it's over now. It's all over, you don't have to worry about it anymore." He soothed me and held me closer. I bawled into his chest and heard everyone come in.
"What happened?" Rick said. "Lilly, Lilly! What happened?!" Maggie came over to me taking me away from Carl and hugged me tightly. "The nightmares is all. I'm fine." I sighed. She cradled me for a while and then everyone went back to sleep.
I got under the covers with Carl and he held me close. "Lilly just sleep. It's okay." He said. I moved in closer to him and made myself warm.
The whole day I was so shaken up from last night. I even lost a couple bullets today from anxiety in my hands. Carol let me stay inside today for the rest of the day. I felt so ashamed of myself. I mean it was a nightmare. But it was based on what happened in my life.
Ugh. Life is too hard.
We all ate dinner silently. I showered and I went to bed early. Maggie and Daryl came in and hugged me before I fell asleep. I felt Carl also come in and he shutoff the light and cuddled with me with his arm over my stomach. I squeezed his hand and he kissed my neck saying goodnight.
"Goodnight" I said back.
Hopefully it will be a good night.
