Sonnet #2

The sheer remembrance embraces my shoulders,

they buckle in sight on so large a scale.

The wonderful days grow weak and colder;

examine this ant who drowns in a pail.

Look down from guilt who's kept on light a course.

Like widows dressed for summer may go find,

she's left with feelings kept the strong remorse

and lights keep shining brought to offset mind.

Not mere the thought that shines upon the end,

but peaceful smiles that stretch away unseen.

Not quite the wonder jumping 'cross a fence

a gentle touch of backyard flowing streams.

    Remembrance covers the road for awhile

    I look far down to see the ant and smile.
