Sonnet #21

A thousand scattered differences all placed,

a thousand gathered rowdy people see

all making similar the same mistake.

I'm drugged to do the very menial deed,

the very scene of what I best avoid

comes back to staring down on my expression,

to leave my sanity alone in choice.

I'll stay until she's in a marked confession,

before the meal is thrown to barren waste.

I'll put all stray a thought in summer's hold

the shame put out has such a bitter taste

and few will notice what's put in the roast.

Afar is scattered where the few exist

my heart is stuck between the cracking bricks
