Sonnet #7

The graceful song I heard in sunset's arms

sang me to rest by sounds of water sweet.

It trickled down a cliff of harnessed charms

a glimpse of mother's voice as softer seen.

A narrow chance to have a moment's glare

but glanced by warm in air a stronger breath

with more than views it wants to show and share.

So rarely skewed, lest rushed to graze my head,

weighs down my mind in swirls of sand on beach.

The waves will leave my sway upon the crest;

unconsciously warned without substance to breathe

    The glow of sunsets, dreams of each other;

    in visions, sounds on beaches with lovers.
