Prologue

"Ready ka na ba?" Kin asked, I nodded at him.

I got my stuffs because we're ready to leave, he also started the engine of his car. I stared at my reflection on the mirror, ayos lang naman siguro ang itsura ko. Kinakabahan akong pumunta sa meeting na iyon. This isn't the first time to have an appointment or a meeting with someone.

In three years of being an architect and dealing with my clients, I must say that it wasn't easy. I designed many houses, buildings, and restaurants and it wasn't easy to create a new one.

Lahat naman na trabaho ay mahirap, e. Walang madali, walang oras na 'di ka mapapagod. Lalo na kung ang client mo ay demanding at parang inaakala nila na ganoon kadali ang pagiging architect, gusto nila ay dapat nasa kanila na kaagad ang designs.

I hope that my upcoming project would be easy, I hope it will end immediately. Hindi ko namalayan na nakarating na kami roon. I was wearing a white top and a blue coat and pants.

"Ano nga ulit ang pangalan no'ng client natin?" tanong ko kay Kinuel nang maka-hanap kami ng table.

"Xeiah Montes." Tumango lang ako roon. 

A couple of minutes, our client came. "I'm sorry, Architect Arevalo and Architect Morrez. I am late because of some errands." I just nodded at her and I heard that Kin just sighed. 

Naiinip na kasi itong kasama ko, palihim kong sinipa ang paa niya. Tiningnan niya ako saka inirapan, masama ko siyang tiningnan.

"Let's start." Ikinuha niya ang papeles for our project, she checked all the papers. After checking, she handed it to me.

"This is the all papers that you need to sign, Miss. My boss told me that he need your approval for being with us on this project. Please sign those papers," she said, I just signed the papers.

"What are we going to design, Miss? Is it a building? A house? A condo unit?" I asked casually.

"It's a restaurant, Miss." I sighed of what she said.

Bakit restaurant pa? Kung iyong tao lang naman ang makaka-trabaho ko ay huwag na lang, I won't accept his fucking offer.

"Oh, really? It was nice, though," I just said. Oh no, it wasn't nice.

"Yes, Miss. My boss also told me that he wants a second floor on his upcoming restaurant, he also wanted it to be simple," she said, I nodded at her.

"Is that all?" Kin asked, the woman just nodded.

"Okay. So, doing a plate is hard. We're doing it in five to six days and don't expect that we do it quickly. Anyway, how many plates do you want us to do?" I asked.

"Three plates will be good," she said. I nodded and I checked the all papers, I noticed that the payment was too low! Agad kong isiniko si Kin, itinuro ko ang nakasulat doon sa papel.

"Seventy thousand? This is too low to be your payment for us," Kin confronted.

"Miss, this is too unfair for us. Can you make it a high payment?" I asked nicely.

"I don't think so, Miss. My boss said that that's the final payment." Napabuntong hininga ako.

"Sino ba 'yang boss mo?" inis na tanong ko.

The woman was about to talk but someone interrupt her.

"Why are you finding me, Architect Arevalo?" her boss asked.
