TW: Abuse, Murder, and Self-Harm
"Dianne, nasa baba na yong boyfriend mo," Papa said to me, I closed my purse and I went downstairs.
Boyfriend... it has been a week since I had my first relationship with Friz.
Nakakunot ang aking noo nang makalapit ako kay Friz, tumingin siya sa akin at pinagsingkitan ko siya ng mata.
"Anak, hindi mo naman sa 'kin sinabi na
kayo na pala ni Friz." Napatingin ako kay Papa at palihim kong kinurot ang braso ni Friz.
Hindi ako prepared dito! Anong sasabihin ko kay Papa!? I glanced at Friz. "Sinabi mo na ba iyon kay Papa?" I asked and he nodded, I looked at my Papa.
"Ah, opo. Boyfriend ko na po si Friz," diretsong sabi ko kay Papa, narinig ko ang mahihinang tawa ni Friz.
Malakas kong pinalo ang braso niya, napatawa tuloy si Papa dahil sa inasta ko.
"Umalis na nga kayo! Baka wala na kayong masakyan diyan. Ingat kayo!" bilin ni Papa sa amin, kumaway lang ako sa kaniya at umalis na kami.
Habang naghihintay kami ng sasakyan ay naisipan kong hawakan ang kamay ni Friz, kunwari ay ini-ayos ko ang buhok ko. I noticed that he glanced at me and then he intertwined our hands tightly.
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked, I looked at him.
"Hindi pa, ang tagal ng order ni Papa, e. Gusto ko na kumain ng dinner, gutom na ako," nakasimangot na sabi ko sa kaniya.
"Kain na muna tayo sa Max's." Tumango lang ako bilang pag sang-ayon, hindi niya pa rin binbitawan ang kamay ko, kahit na noong nasa SM na kami.
He let go of my hand when he ordered our food, I automatically look for a table for us. Nang maka-upo ako sa dulo ay iyon na rin ang saktong pagdating niya.
"Saan na tayo pagkatapos nito?" tanong ko.
"I... I want to go somewhere we can talk about God." Napatingin ako bigla sa kaniya st seryoso ko siyang tinitigan.
"I know that it was all of a sudden, we can go to our church after we buy our stuffs for the upcoming event." Ngumiti ako sa kaniya at tumango ako nang dahan-dahan.
Magkakaroon kasi kami ng JS Prom this month, today's is February 7 and the upcoming event is on February 14. I realized something when I asked Friz about his religion.
"What's your religion? Did you... did you really know Him well?" I asked, he looked at me confusedly.
"Sino? Si Lord ba?" I nodded as my response.
"I am a Christian since birth, we're a family of Christians. My Lolo and Lola build a church named Kingdom Apostolic Youth Ambassador Church. Actually, it's not a religion. It's all about having a relationship with God. Hindi pa naman super deep yong relationship ko sa Kaniya but I really love to worship the Lord," nakangiting pahayag niya.
"But why did you attend in a Catholic church? Noong niyaya kita with my family last month," I asked.
Totoo naman kasi! Christian pala siya tapos nag-attend siya sa church ng Roman Catholic?
"Hindi naman kami pinagbabawalan about diyan, we're just curious about their religion. And besides, halos Katoliko ang mga nagpapa-convert to Born Again Christian." He leaned on his chair and he raised his brows.
"My grandparents told me this story last year, do you want to hear it?" I nodded because I became curious about his life.
"My Dad is a Pastor and my Mom is a youth member of our church back then. Ang bata-bata pa nila noon hanggang sa naging close sila, Dad asked my Mom to be his girlfriend. They had a relationship for 4 years and accidentally, they had me as their son," he said.
