So I thought it'd be a good title change, idk am I crazy? I just thought it fit
ANyway, here's part two, hopefully a little shorter so I can actually get back to Knights and Nomads, I must appease the followers haha
Oh and there will definitely be parallels to Darkness, so if you've read it just know that I apparently can't come up with a new plot, and a few portions of this will be very similar. There will be some Ahsoka and Obi-Wan family fluff so yay for that :)
It was only a little past noon, but when Anakin brought Ahsoka back to their quarters she practically passed out, but not before giving him something. When she entered her room, Ahsoka went to a drawer in her nightstand. One that held various objects, rocks, metal scraps, other random junk she had found on missions, sometimes Anakin could swear she was a crow with the amount of random things she collected. She reached her hand towards the back and pulled out the knife Padme had given her for her life day a few months before.
Wordlessly, she handed it to him. He looked at it, it's leather sheath and careful detailing, and she Shili crest stamped on it. He was confused at first but caught on quickly when she spoke. "Can you keep it for me for a little while?"
Anakin, although slightly horrified, nodded and clipped it onto his belt just behind his lightsaber. "Have you been hurting yourself?" He said carefully. She hesitated, but nodded. Anakin came forward and grabbed a gentle hold of her hand. Ahsoka understood and rolled up her sleeve to reveal various cuts from the knife; not a lot, but enough that it wasn't safe for her to have it. She rolled her sleeve back down to avoid any more embarrassment and sat down on her bed. Anakin complied and told her to sleep well, closing her shades to try and block out some of the afternoon sunlight.
When he was satisfied that Ahsoka was asleep, Anakin left their shared quarters to find Obi-Wan. This was a situation he needed to be involved in, maybe to comfort Ahsoka, they were pretty close after all, or maybe to comfort Anakin who moments before had been afraid of loosing his sister. Either way he was basically always involved in any serious matters between the two of them, often acting as the ref in their arguments. This time though, Anakin just needed advice.
He showed up on Obi-Wan's doorstep a few moments later. "Obi-Wan?" He said after his knocking was answered.
"Anakin, why are you so worried?" He asked, inviting him inside. They sat on the sofa that barely fit the two of them, and Anakin spoke.
"It's Ahsoka, she's been hurting herself." He said quietly. Obi-Wan's face immediately became more concerned and he silently begged him to continue. "I found her sitting outside on a ledge, she was going to do it, Obi-Wan, she was actually going to kill herself." He put his flesh hand to his face as Obi-Wan reached over and put his hand on Anakin's shoulder.
"Is she okay now?"
"She's sleeping. I managed to talk her down pretty easily, but I don't know what to do now, she'd been cutting herself and asked me to take her knife." After the stress of everything the last ten minutes had held, Anakin let a tear slip down his face, followed by another from the other eye. He hadn't cried in a long time, probably not since Obi-Wan faked his death, and he didn't know how to handle all of this. "What do I do? What if she tries it again and I'm not there to help her? I can't loose her, master."
"Did she tell you why?" Obi-Wan continued in the same comforting voice he used before, but it was getting considerably more concerned with every word.
"It was about a clone who told her she wasn't good enough to be a commander."
"She's dealt with people like that before, what pushed her this time?" Obi-Wan really tried to stay calm for Anakin, but there was so much going through his head. He didn't want to loose Ahsoka any more than Anakin, and was about as worried.
"He was dying, he had been shot on the mission, and his last words to her were that she just kept getting his brothers killed. I'd be upset too." They both paused for a moment. "What do I do, Master?"
"I guess all you can do is be there for her." Anakin nodded. "Tell me if anything changes? I care about her too, and I want to help her if I can."
"I will, Obi-Wan. Thank you for being here." Obi-Wan gave a small, concerned smile.
"I always will be."
--------------------
When Ahsoka woke up a few hours later it was about dinnertime, which would explain why Anakin wasn't in his room. She would have gone to join him, but she knew there was something she needed to do first.
She threw her boots back on and made her way to Obi-Wan's quarters. Knowing Anakin, he had already gone and told his old master everything, and she was okay with that. As long as he didn't say anything to anyone else. Knocking gently, she took a breath in and waited for a response. There was nothing at first, and she figured he might be eating as well, but soon footsteps could be heard from inside, and the door opened in front of her. She gave a small smile when Obi-Wan saw her, and he returned it with his own and inviting her inside. He didn't say anything about what had just happened, only, "Ahsoka, it's good to see you. Come on in."
"Thank you, master Kenobi." She followed him inside and sat on his couch. "Could we have some tea?"
"That sounds like a lovely idea." His smile became a little brighter, excited that she was going to talk to him about everything. Usually he was the one Ahsoka came to for the serious things. In a few moments, the little electric kettle was singing and two mugs with tea bags were set on the counter. Oni-Wan went to join her on the couch. They were quiet for a few moment before Ahsoka spoke up.
"Anakin told you, didn't he?" At this point the water was boiling and the kettle shut off. Obi-Wan stood up after he nodded and agreement.
"I know that's not his place to tell, he really shouldn't have."
"No, I don't mind him telling you, as long as he doesn't go blabbing to the whole order about my mental problems," She said with a sad chuckle. Obi-Wan tried to find humor in it, but he couldn't. She was trying to joke about something so serious, and he wished she didn't have to, it had probably only been a few hours ago that she was thinking about killing herself and that was too soon to be joking, if he had it his way she wouldn't be joking about it at all. "Sorry, that was-" She started, after realizing what she had said.
"Dark?" He still had a hint of a sad smile on his face as he poured the tea and stirred in a bit of honey.
"Ya." She was starting to regret coming here. What was she supposed to say? What was the point of her even going to talk to Obi-Wan? She didn't actually come here with a plan, just a circumstance. She didn't really know what she actually was going to talk to him about, she just knew she wanted to talk to him about it, whatever it was. "Look, I don't really know why I'm here, I just... I just needed to be with someone I guess."
"You don't have to talk if you wouldn't like, we can just sit and sip our tea for a while." He joined her on the couch where she was starting to curl herself up in a ball, and handed her the black cherry tea.
"That's a good idea."
Okay I thought this was gonna be better than it actually turned out, but I still kinda liked it. Anyway, hope you enjoyed, and I promise Knights and Nomads is coming next XD
Have a good day/night/whatever and I'll see you when I see you :)
