Where it All Began

Don't know where this is going, I'm just avoiding doing schoolwork. This'll probably be short.

Also don't judge my knowledge of Christophsis, I know very little about the planet and inhabitants, therefore most of the information will be totally made up/wrong.

Enjoy :)

The gunship swayed beneath her feet, causing Ahsoka to grip tighter onto the supports of the ship wall, not being able to reach the supports on the ceiling like everyone else. Her foot slipped beneath her and she barely caught herself before falling face first. "Say nothing," She told her master beside her, knowing that she'd be teased. He only grinned. Ahsoka grabbed her master's arm instead, knowing it would steady her better than the wall would.

"Ready for a trip down memory lane?" Anakin asked a few minutes later as he could feel the ship landing.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

The doors opened onto Christophsis, the now mostly barren teal-colored plains. Ahsoka smiled slightly, remembering the first- and only- time she had been there, when she was still that brash, overconfident, but still insecure girl that once thought she had to take on a war by herself. Anakin had the same gentle smile, remembering how his life had changed that day. How much one teenage girl had turned his life around in the span of a few short years.

They had come for negotiations; convincing the Christophsians to receive more Republic aid. They were hesitant, but after the less than peaceful negotiations from Skywalker and his Padawan (they didn't send Obi-Wan, why?) they were ready to head back. Well, the clones accompanying them were. The Jedi? Not so much. "Before we go," Anakin started. "May we have a look around? We have some good memories here." Ahsoka grinned at her master's nostalgic nature. The Christophsian reluctantly agreed, on the conditions that he wouldn't disrupt what little peace they had managed to find in the past few years.

Anakin and Ahsoka strolled along the streets, reminiscing about their first meeting. "You wouldn't want to know what all went through my head when you said you were my Padawan," Anakin joked. "I wasn't going to keep you, but thank the force I did."

"Ya or I would have been stuck with someone boring, who actually followed the code," Ahsoka said, joining in on the banter. Anakin just glared at her, knowing she was right. "Look, that's it! That's the spot," She laughed, pointing towards a mostly open field still covered in rubble.

"What is it?"

"That's where I saved your life, with the wall?" Ahsoka answered. Again, Anakin knew she was right but he wasn't about to admit it and rolled his eyes. Soon they were sitting on that same rock, the one that the two had sat on two years prior, where he had accepted Ahsoka as his Padawan.

"I still don't think you would have made it as Obi-Wan's Padawan," Anakin joked to try and change the subject.

"Good thing I have you then." Ahsoka grinned as she took up her spot next to her master. "Someday you'll admit that I saved your life."

Anakin sighed. "Fat chance," He mumbled. Soon they were back to comfortable silence. "Y'know Snips, I was thinking,"

"I didn't know that was possible," She interjected. Anakin had a look of fake hurt on his face but continued.

"I said, I was thinking that you might be ready to take the trials soon. What do you think?" Anakin had thoroughly shocked her. Ahsoka's face was blank, other than her raised eyebrows.

"Wait, the trials? Aren't Jedi Padawans for like ten years before they can take the trials?" She finally asked, surprise still evident on her face.

He grinned and slid a little closer to her, leaning back on his hands. "I didn't say you had to take them now, I just thought you should think about it. You've learned as much in two years than I did in ten. I think you'd do good."

Ahsoka finally caught up to the idea and laughed a little in excitement. "I mean... I think I could."

"I know you could," Anakin encouraged, remembering how hesitant she was about her abilities. "Ahsoka I really think you could take the trials soon. You're amazing as a Jedi and I've been so amazed to teach you. Don't underestimate yourself."

Ahsoka grinned, hoping to hide the slight blush of her darkened lekku. "Thank you, Master. I'll think about it." They sat in comfortable silence for a while until Rex found them. His face went from serious to grinning, although you couldn't tell through the helmet. He remembered the day too, the day his General's overconfident Padawan entered the war and he gained another sibling to take care of.

"Sir, we need to be leaving. One of the inhabitants tried to swing at Fives, and I don't think they're going to take too kindly to a bunch of clones in their city for much longer." He urged them to stand.

"We're coming Rex. Get the men on the ship," Ahsoka ordered, although gently. He nodded and turned back towards the gunship they had come in.

Anakin grinned at his Padawan, as he did every time she took charge like that. "You know, you wouldn't make a bad General either."

And that's it :) Should I make a second version of the One Shot Knight Tano to go along with this? I think it might be fun.

Have a good day/night/whatever and I'll see you when I see you :)
