Concussion

"Ahsoka, Ahsoka! C'mon, we can't stay here!" She could hear the faint voice of her master as she woke up. Realizing what happened she hoisted herself up with the help of Anakin, and booked it towards the transport ship. She was now fully awake when everyone was settled, either sitting or standing and gripping the handles on the ceiling. Ahsoka was exhausted, having woken up after being knocked out. It wasn't even a good story, a clanker rammed into her after being shot when she wasn't looking, and pushed her to the ground. She wasn't out for long, but her master had to come and get the droid body off her.

Now that she was fully aware of her surroundings, she could fully take in the effects of the droid. She rubbed her temples feeling a headache coming on. By the time they got back to the temple, she had a full on headache and predicted a migraine. Hoping she could get away with it, she followed Rex to the barracks to help settle the men before going back to the temple, but before she could leave Kix caught her. Her plan wasn't quite as thought out as it could have been.

"Commander, where are you going?" He said, chasing her out the door.

"Back to the temple, why?"

"You haven't been treated, you've probably got a nasty concussion and I'm not letting you walk out of here until it is." He waited for her to turn around. "I saw you clearly get knocked out back there."

"I'll go back to the halls of healing when I get there, okay?" She tried to reason, opening the door and stepping out. She barely made it two steps before her headache turned into a horrible migraine and she slapped her hand to her head.

"I don't think you can make it there, judging by the way you just acted. Come on, commander, I'll bring you to the barracks med bay."

"It's alright Kix, I'll make it just fine."

"Well then, I'm coming with you. I'm not letting your injuries go."

"Fine, just turn the sun off, it's killing me." She said quietly, gluing her eyes shut once again.

Kix, with Ahsoka in tow, took a speeder to the temple where Anakin was waiting for them. Kix had already contacted the general when Ahsoka came to the barracks with them, knowing that she probably didn't contact him herself. Always the mom friend.

"There you are, Ahsoka. Thought you could get away so easily?" He grabbed her shoulder and led her towards the entrance of the temple.

"Well I did until my brain started seeping through my skull, stop talking so loudly." She said in a loud whisper.

"Let's go,"

Usually Ahsoka would resist medical treatment at all costs, it was just in her nature to let those who needed it more to go. Unless she was straight up bleeding through a stab wound, she would probably deal with it herself. Even then she was hesitant and let others go before her.

Finally sitting down in a bed, luckily with the lights off (compliments of Anakin), she could relax. With an MRI scan and a confirmed concussion, and a serious one at that, she was about ready to pass out, although the doctors wouldn't let her. With this severity she needed to stay awake. Even with the lights off, the pounding headache, and the pain medication that was making her drowsy. Anakin was sitting next to her, having nothing else to do, and tinkering with a droid he had grabbed from his quarters. It was either do it here or alone in his room, and he figured Ahsoka could use the company. And besides, she needed to stay awake.

"They tell you not to go to sleep, and yet they give you pain meds that make you drowsy, what was their thinking?" She said in a loud whisper, still recovering from the migraine and turning her head towards Anakin.

"I don't even know why they don't want you to fall asleep, don't go asking me medical questions."

"I could have a seizure." She said, turning back to face the ceiling. "I'd rather be awake for that."

"But if you were asleep, you wouldn't feel it." He said. "Wouldn't that be better?"

"Ya well I might not be able to feel it, therefore I would probably end up dead," She retorted. "I don't know why they won't let me leave, as long as I'm not asleep I'll be fine." Ahsoka tried to argue, although, Anakin was quick to reply.

"Like you said, we don't want you to have a seizure." A spark flew from the droid part, luckily only hitting his sleeve. "Why must you be so stubborn?"

"Because other people need medical care more than me." And it doesn't even have a good story, she thought.

"Snips, you need to start taking care of yourself. You need to take care of your body or else someday you won't get to fight another day." He said. "The amount of concussions you've had is dangerous as it is."

"Ya well maybe I'm just training my brain to handle them better," She joked.

"Definitely not how that works." He put one hand to his face. "I'm suddenly feeling very bad for Obi-Wan," He grumbled. If Ahsoka was anything like him as a Padawan, he must have been a handful.

Okay that was kinda fun, hope you guys enjoyed. I'll probably be back with another part of Knights and Nomads next, so keep a look out for that. Have a good day/night/whatever and I'll see you when I see you :)
