It's been a few days since a real chapter, sorry about that. Been really uninspired lol. I thought I'd go back to one of the first series I ever did which was a modern AU. If you haven't read those I suggest going back to read them first so you understand the context. ANyway, this'll be set like, eight ish months or so after Part 2. Only ship is Anidala.

Also this'll probably be kinda long.

Enjoy :)

"Oh come on, it's your birthday and you don't want to go out for drinks?" Anakin hooted from across the room, leaned back in his chair with his feet on the old desk.

"I told you, alcohol is gross, I don't want to spend my birthday vomiting," Ahsoka shot back from her desk. They'd had a long day, wrapping up the final paperwork for a case. She threw her wallet into the messenger bag sitting beside the desk and looked back up at Anakin.

Ben could be heard from the other side of the room. "Agreed."

"I didn't like it when I was 21, I won't like it when I'm 22."

Anakin sat towards the front of his chair again, putting his elbows on the desk. "Fine, even though you're so sure you don't want to drink, we're still taking you out for your birthday." Anakin gestured to Ben to make sure he wasn't left out. "We can take Rex and Cody too, sound good?"

"What about the twins?" Ahsoka asked with a grin. She loved the little ones from the moment she met them and fully intended to see them as much as possible.

"I think that's required, they probably wouldn't stay if they knew Ahsoka was coming," Ben offered. They were now all going through the steps to leave, Ahsoka clipping her glock onto her belt and grabbing her bag, Anakin shoving the rest of the files from that day's case in his desk, and Obi-Wan already waiting by the door.

"Sure, I'll ask Padme when I get home and text you the details, sound good?" Anakin asked as he wrapped his arm around the girl's shoulder.

"Sounds amazing, actually. Thank you guys for this," Ahsoka told him. They all grinned as they walked to the parking lot where everyone's cars sat close to each other. Well, vehicles. Ahsoka had recently sold her trashy sedan and used the money for a moped-style motorcycle. (I had to make her the cool aunt, I do not doubt that modern Ahsoka would own a motorcycle okay? Then again, Anakin probably would too lol) Anakin was still bitter that she wouldn't let him drive it, despite him not having a motorcycle license. Ben was able to however because he did have a license, although he wouldn't explain why he had gotten one in the first place. He didn't seem like the kind to want one, but he had to have some secrets, they supposed.

Ahsoka was a perturbed that she'd have to ride home at night (which was less than ideal to navigate) and debated leaving her bike here and catching a ride with Anakin or Ben, but she didn't feel like having it stolen. However it'd be pretty dumb to steal something from a police station, she didn't care to risk it. Usually they'd be leaving during the evening when it was still light out in the summer. This time however, they'd gotten to caught up in work and were leaving at nearly eight fifteen.

"I'll see you guys in the morning," She yelled as she plopped her helmet on and the other two got in their respective, not-so-epic-looking vehicles.

--------------------

Three days later, Ahsoka was able to wake up without an alarm. She had made sure to take her birthday off nearly a month before, figuring that if nothing else she'd gift herself time to sleep in. Checking the time and seeing 0822, Ahsoka got herself ready for the day. She figured it'd been a while since she dressed up a little and decided to wear a skirt and a rust red sleeveless shirt. Last minute she clipped some gold hoops onto her earlobes and rushed out the door.
