No One's Fault

So I survived the dentist, but guess who needs to get all four of her wisdom teeth out next year?? Me. Hooray. If I'm still writing on this by next year you can bet that I'll be going on an anxiety rant right before.

This was a request from Ahsoka_Fan12. Anakin going dad-mode and getting all flustered and guilty. This ended up being rly fluffy, so I'll try to put as much guilt as I can in but it's kind of failing haha

Trigger Warning for topics of sexism and harassment. Yes, it's one of *those* chapters, I'm sorry, but I'm decently okay at writing these sorts of things therefore I continue.

Enjoy :)

It was supposed to be a fun night, having fun with their brothers, and taking a night way from being a Jedi. All of that went downhill when they were walking through the streets at the end of the night. Ahsoka and Anakin were still in the midst of their average sibling banter, going back and forth when Anakin's beeping comm interrupted them. He growls a little but looks towards Ahsoka as he speaks. "It's the council, I'll be right back." She nods and watches her master walk a few feet away to take the call. Ahsoka taps her foot impatiently and looks around in response to a shift in the force. A warning of sorts. Before she could react she smelled a distinct hint of alcohol, turning to face a humanoid species(I legit tried to find a good humanoid species to use but I looked for like fifteen minutes and didn't find anything I liked for the story. Therefore, you're just getting "humanoid" and the rest is up to your own imagination), obviously drunk out of his mind. Ahsoka knew this wouldn't end well.

"Hey pretty lady," He started, his body swaying slightly as he approached Ahsoka. "How about-"

"I'm gonna stop you right there, you need to back off" She told him with what little confidence was left within her. She backed up a little, glancing around for a moment to try and catch sight of Anakin.

"Now look here, you don't, you don't have no right telling me, what I can do." His voice was slurred as he moved closer to Ahsoka's shrinking figure. "Your kind are just..." He blinked slowly for a moment, as if he had forgotten what he was going to say. "You're not..." He gave up on whatever he was going to say and advanced further, going to grab Ahsoka's wrist. She was scared enough that she froze- her body simply decided it couldn't fight back. She flooded her bond with Anakin with her fear, hoping he would realize what was going on just ten feet away from him. "You don't have any right to stop me, to, to," He paused again. Whatever brain cells this man had before definitely weren't still alive after whatever he had drunk. Please, master, she begged silently.

Anakin's call with the council was boring; asking when they'd be back and telling him he was needed for a briefing the next morning. The call was finished when he felt Ahsoka's fear. He didn't think before rushing towards where she was last to see her being grabbed by the drunk man. Anakin acted fast, smacking his hand away from his Padawan's wrist and shielding Ahsoka from the man's gaze.

"Get off her," He growled. "I'd be right to kill you where you stand." Ahsoka being knocked out of whatever trance she was in and grabbed gently onto her master's arm. He understood. She didn't need revenge, she needed comfort. He shoved the man to the ground and turned to Ahsoka, quickly guiding her away. The street they were wandering was pretty dark, and Anakin decided that she'd probably be more comfortable in a well lit place, away from wandering eyes.

He brought her under a streetlight, Ahsoka still clutching his arm. When the two of them stopped she was brought into a bear hug, compliments of Anakin, most of her body being covered by his own. She seemed so small in that moment, nothing more than a scared little girl. Maybe she was.

"Snips, I am so sorry, I never should have left you," He started. "I should have realized something was off, I should have come back sooner, I never should have taken that call in the first place, I-"

"Master, it's not your fault, I shouldn't have worn this," She interrupted meekly, pointing to her tube top. She let go of the hug and wrapped her arms around her middle to somehow protect herself.

"No Ahsoka, it wasn't your fault. It was his choice. It doesn't matter what you're wearing, his prying eyes should have stayed to himself." Anakin's fist clenched slightly at the thought of what might have happened had he not been there. He had seen how she froze, she could have taken him down in seconds if the situation were different, but everything inside her was just too scared and he understood why.

She nodded at his response, still slightly unconvinced. "But he said," She paused for a moment. "He said that he had a right to me," Her hands twisted in knots for a moment before returning to grip her waist.

Anakin felt his heart break at his Padawan looking so lost, so afraid, and quickly moved to comfort her in some way. Realizing that hugging her after all that probably wasn't the best decision considering she had been harassed, he instead spoke first. "Can I touch you?" She shakily nodded. Anakin gently took a hold of her hand and stroked her knuckles. "Ahsoka, no one has a right to you. No one can tell you what you are or what to do. Neither being a girl or Togruta means someone can control you."

If you looked close enough you could see Ahsoka's lips curl up into a slight smile, and a hint of her fear had died down. She tipped her head to the side to indicate that she wanted to get going. Her arms however, were still wrapped around her body in defense. She knew Anakin was there to protect her this time, but she still felt too sick to her stomach about the whole thing. Her master noticed this.

"Would it make you feel better to have my robe?" He asked Ahsoka who was sticking close to his side, her head twitching at every movement.

"Ya, if you don't-"

"I wouldn't have offered, Ahsoka." He chuckled as he slipped his robe onto her shoulders, the hood dangling down. It was oversized and the tip of it brushed against her heels. She wrapped the warm piece of brown cotton further around her shoulders as she took in the familiar scent. It brought her comfort, both smelling and feeling his presence.

"Again Ahsoka, I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have-" Ahsoka cut him off before he could continue, her voice more confident now.

"Master it's like you said, it was his fault. Not mine, not yours, it was his choice." She stood a little taller when she spoke. Anakin smiled at her, admiring her bravery amidst all of this. She really was a trooper, even if he wished she didn't have to be.

Yaaaaay, I wrote something. I'm getting ever closer to finishing the school year so whenever that happens I'll probably start writing more. Expect like month-month and a half.

Hope this satisfied the requester, they wanted a guilty Anakin but for some reason I didn't work it in very well. I tried lol, and it gave off a good message. I've found it's rarely (if ever) the fault of the victim when they're in this situation. It's the fault of whoever let their eyes wander too far. Sure, don't go wearing next to nothing, but it should be the job of society to teach men and women alike to control themselves, not teach people to cover up.

Anyway, now that that rant is over, have a good night/day/whatever and I'll see you when I see you :)
