Here's Shaak Ti being a mom to Ahsoka, and Ahsoka honoring her people. Any dialogue in italics is supposed to be Togruti, the language is pretty incomplete so I just resolved to pretend lol, but some of it is in the actual language and it's explained in the text.

Art not mine.

Enjoy :)

She was so small when she arrived, but you could hardly call her fragile. Fragile like a bomb is more like it, emotional with a fiery temper, Ahsoka was no easy child to deal with. But between her two favorite Jedi Masters, she was alright.

Master Plo was her founder, and originally he was the only one she would let near her; there was no way they'd be able to separate them, let alone try and keep her away. Her basic was sloppy and almost non existent, she was afraid of all the new species she was seeing, the force was so loud and blaring, she just wanted to go home. She didn't understand. When the council was told Master Plo had successfully retrieved the child, Shaak Ti was the first to meet them. Ahsoka was cowering away in his robes the Togruta master approached them with a gentle smile.

"Hello love," She greeted quietly, reaching a hand out towards the girl. Ahsoka was cautious in reaching out but eventually grabbed her hand, reaching out with the other, asking to be held by the familiar face. "I'm Shaak Ti." As she was lifted from master Plo's arms, she studied the woman who reminded her of home. Blue and white lekku like her own, long, like her mother's, facial markings not like hers but beautiful none the less. "And what is your name?"

The little girl cocked her head. "Ahsoka."

========

She was eight when Shaak Ti first told her about home. Ahsoka came to her in tears after realizing how little she remembered of home. Were attachments to places forbidden as much as they were to people? Because she sure felt attached to the place, despite not remembering it. Rubbing an hand over Ahsoka's slowly growing lekku and rocking her on her lap, Shaak Ti started describing their shared home planet, after being there multiple times since becoming a Jedi.

"The weather is always warm and the grass a beautiful shade of red, with a breeze that never ceases, perfect for farming. Everyone helps out in their own villages, and the people are kind and loving." Ahsoka's tears were reduced to sniffles as she continued to speak, talking about all the traditions she remembers. "What if we go together, someday?" She added as an afterthought. Ahsoka nodded eagerly in response as she proceeded to wipe her nose on the sleeve of her robes. "We could kill an Akul, and we'll make you a headdress, just like tradition."

Looking up with wide eyes Ahsoka speaks softly. "Could we really?"

Shaak nodded. "We can."

"Djeba bachu," Ahsoka hissed as she pulled her hand away from the smoking speeder. "This thing is trash. Needs a new motivator, the voltage regulator is shot, I wouldn't try to fly this thing two feet off the ground."

Anakin raised an eyebrow in confusion at whatever his apprentice said in Togruti before focusing back on the speeder. "Can we sell it for parts?"

Ahsoka shook her head slightly with a regretful expression. "Not unless you're melting it down for metal. We'll have a better bet walking home." She wiped her hands off on her dress as she stood, trying to find her balance as they loomed over the trashed speeder.

"We'd better start walking then."

The two of them continued down the lonely streets of Coruscant, hoping to find some sort of communications device to contact the temple for a transport. As they walked, Anakin decided to prompt Ahsoka to tell him what she had said.

"Where you speaking Togruti?" She nodded. "What did you say?"

She bit her lip to keep from laughing. "Well, djeba are livestock on Shili." Anakin looked at her, pushing her to continue. "So basically I said cow farts..." Ahsoka admitted with a smile as her master laughed.

"Oh, I'm stealing that."

She knew it'd take time for her to feel okay again, she knew she couldn't just forget what being a slave on Zygerria was like. Ahsoka found herself at Master Ti's quarters at nearly midnight, after all the colonists were settled in the medbay she was about to go to bed, but she had a feeling she wouldn't sleep if she tried. The two didn't interact much after she was apprenticed, she was no longer a kid (or that's what she liked to tell herself) and Shaak was an esteemed Jedi master. She couldn't come running to a member of the council whenever she had her feelings hurt.

She supposed this was an exception; she couldn't quite think straight at this hour anyway.

First she tried to prod the hint of a bond the two of them held to make sure she was awake- which she was- and then knocked. Shaak answered swiftly with a gentle smile, silently inviting her in. "How are you feeling, Ahsoka?" The older of the two led the girl in question towards her sofa where they both sat.

"Exhausted, sad, angry, you name it."

"Well, start at the beginning."

Ahsoka shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "You've been briefed on the mission?" The woman nodded. "I left out a few parts. Nothing important though."

Shaak's expression softened more. "But it's important to you?"

Ahsoka didn't respond immediately. "It was just... The in between time. The time before my Master rescued me. He kept calling me a skug, reminding me how many people in the galaxy see me as just... Just an object. Kept taunting me, telling me all about what he'd do to me, I was lucky enough that he never acted on his words." She bit at her nails after she spoke. Shaak sighed and draped a hand on the younger girl's shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, young one. Sometimes I forget how cruel this world is to our species." There was nothing either could do about it now. Atai was dead, the slaves were saved, Ahsoka supposed that's all she could ask for. A little mental torment was a price she had to pay for her people's freedom. As if sensing her thoughts, Shaak continued. "Just because it worked out now, doesn't mean it didn't hurt. It's alright, d'bhem," She soothed. "It's alright, love."

Ahsoka let out a shuddered breath she had been holding and settled into Shaak's embrace.

Idrk what that was but it was fun I suppose. I honestly just need more Ahsoka growling, purring, and acting like a cat, which I didn't but should have included in this chapter.

Guess who hates Mondays? I hate Mondays! The only thing that keeps me going on a Monday is knowing that ashskywalker66 updates on Mondays (for the most part) and that I only have a couple weeks of school left. Wish me luck, and good luck to y'all'

Have a good night/day/whatever and I'll see you when I see you :)
