*James POV*

I was on the bus and was surprised to see a beautiful girl that I've never seen before enter the bus. She looked overwhelmed and lost. Plus she couldn't find a seat so I told her to come sit with me. She sat down and I introduced myself. She shook my hand and told me her name was Emily. The bus arrived at our school and somehow she managed to get out of the bus ahead of me. I called her name and ran up to her. I wanted to show her around so she wouldn't get confused. I grabbed her hand and she let me without freaking out like other girls would. Then we were about to enter the school and Matt Espinosa rode right into her on his penny board. He seemed to know her but I didn't care. I was upset at him that he hurt her even though he was my football buddy. I probably came off as a jerk but I honestly didn't mean to. I brought her to a group of my friends and introduced her. The girls in the group didn't seem to like the idea of a new girl in our group, but frankly I didn't care what they thought. She looked worried so I grabbed her hand. We started to talk a little bit about her. Her old school, her old friends, her old teachers, her interests, and her new classes. Turns out we have a lot in common and we had 1st period math and 5th period lunch together. I invited her to sit with us at lunch and she took me up on that offer. She had one of the most beautiful smiles and mysterious eyes I've ever seen. I can tell when she's happy or sad. Her eyes make it so obvious. She seemed so happy until Matt came back over to our group. At first she smiled but then something changed in her eyes.
