~Senior Year~
"Emily Cook." Said the valedictorian. I walked up on the stage and received my diploma. I shook hands with my principal then walked off stage. I made my way back to the seat next to Matthew Espinosa, my boyfriend of 3 years. "Congratulations!" Said Matt kissing me. "Thanks." I smiled. They announced a bunch more names, including Matthew's, Amanda's, Sophia's, and a bunch more of my friends. Then it was over, I finally graduated this roller coaster ride that we call high school. Once everyone went their separate ways I joined my mom, Melissa, Melissa's fiancé Jake, and my dad who flew out just for me. Matt also joined his family. When all the tears were shed and the final pictures were taken I found Matt again. "Hey." He said smiling. "Hi." I replied. "Do you want to leave now?" He asked. "In a minute, can I have some time to myself please?" I asked genuinely. "Sure, take your time." He said giving me a kiss. I then walked into my school. The hallways were empty and classes were going on. There were no sounds to be heard but the secretary typing away on their keyboards. I looked around and remembered the first impression I had of Amanda and how wrong it was. I found myself travel to the football field next. I reached the bleachers and sat on the first row. I stared at the football field. I saw imaginary glimpses of all the football games I saw Matt play, when I hurt my ankle and Matt helped me, the first time I met Sophia, and when Matt saved James' and I. I walked back out to the front of the school and met back up with Matt. "Hey Beautiful, you ready?" He asked smiling. I walked up to him and faced the school. "So many memories." I said. "Good and bad." He chimed in staring at the school with me. "This school contains the memories of 3 years of my life, and now I have to leave." I said almost crying. "Yeah but you have me." Matt said walking in front of me, becoming so close that I could feel his breath on my lips. "What does that mean?" I asked. "It means that I can be your, metaphorically speaking, school. Cause I will hold all of your memories for, I hope, the rest of your life." I thought of this and smiled. "I'm fine with that." Then I closed the small gap between us and kissed Matt passionately. We walked over to Matt's car and drove to his house. He grabbed two of his suitcases, said goodbye to his mom, then came back in the car. Next, we drove to my house. I walked in, grabbed my 4 suitcases, said goodbye to my mom, Melissa, and Jake, then went back to Matt's car. Finally we were off to start a new chapter in our lives. We pulled up to an apartment building and brought our suitcases inside to the 4th floor. Matt unlocked the door and we walked in. It was perfect. There was a refrigerator, a microwave, dishwasher, a kitchen table with 4 chairs, two bedrooms, one with a bed one without, a living room with a small couch, one bathroom, and there was a public laundry room on the 2nd floor of the building. It wasn't too far away from our hometown either. Matt and I shared a room so there was a guest room and a couch for people to stay if they visited. We settled and put all of our things away. Then we changed into our pajamas. By the end of the day we were exhausted and ended up ordering pizza. I can't wait to kick off my new life with Matt. The doorbell rang and I got up. I opened the door and paid the pizza guy, then I put the pizza on the kitchen counter. "Pizza's here!" I yelled to Matt. "Yay!" He yelled like a little kid. He ran in the kitchen grabbed, the box and brought it to the table. He sat down and I joined him. I ate 2 slices, he ate 4, and we put the rest in the refrigerator. Then we both went to our room and sat on the bed together. "So what do you want to do?" Asked Matt as he played with my hair. I looked to face him. "Whatever you want." I smiled. Then he leaned in and kissed me. This continued for a while and then we heard the bedroom door open. "Surpri...woah!" Yelled Savannah and Cameron. "Holy shit!" Yelled Matt as he threw me my shirt and bra. "Ever heard of knocking?" Asked Matt. I laughed as I threw my shirt on. "I thought we could all go on a double date?" Asked Savannah. "To where?" I asked. "To get ice cream!" Said Cameron. "Ok. Just let us change!" Said Matt slamming the door on them. I went through Matt's cloths and picked something out for him. "Here." I said as I handed it to him. "I could've picked it out myself." Laughed Matt. "Whatever." I laughed. Then I picked out my cloths and put them on. After we were finished, we all left to the ice cream store down the street. We had a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what my future holds.
