*Emily's POV*

James started to tell me something about the math teacher but I just kept replaying the thought of Matt kissing that cheerleader in the forehead over and over. Like it was on a loop. I honestly didn't hear much of what James was saying. How bad could the teacher be? I walked in the classroom and heard a woman say, "And who are you?" I turned around and smiled to seem as friendly as possible. "Hi, my name is Emily Cook. I'm the new student from..." I was cut off by her saying,"Oh yes. I've heard of you. Sit somewhere and get out your material for this class." She didn't seem too bad so I turned to face the whole class that was looking at me and walked over to James to sit down next to him. He kind of gave me the 'you're screwed' look. "Ok class, today we are doing a review on the Pythagorean Theorem..." Her voice faded away and I entered a whole new realm, my imagination. I saw pictures of my old school, my old friends, my old life. Then I felt James nudge me. "What?" I asked. "Ms. Cook, since you like talking so much, would you like to teach the class from here?" Now I know why everyone hates her. "No Mrs." I can't believe it, I don't know her name. "Ms. Smith." She said. "My name is Ms. Smith" she said this with a sort of look that sent shivers down my spine. "Yes, Ms. Smith. I'm sorry for interrupting." Then the bell rang. Everyone got up ad headed for the door. I gathered my material and headed for the door when someone grabbed my arm. I turned around alarmed to see Ms. Smith starring at me. "Yes?" I said kind of annoyed. "I expect more from you Ms. Cook" she said. "Yes, I will try harder next time" Then she let go of me and I left the room. James was waiting outside for me. "What do you have next?" He said in a nagging voice. "English" he walked me to the English room and looked me in the eye and said "Don't get into any trouble." He winked and ran away. I walked in the room and introduced myself to the English teacher, Ms. Pharaoh. "Take a seat anywhere hun." I looked around and the only seat was behind a boy with dirty blonde hair. I sat down and the boy turned around. It was Matt. He smiled and said while giggling, "Betcha didn't recognize me huh?" He has a laugh that was contagious so I started to laugh too. "We will be doing group work for a book we will be reading for a few weeks." Everyone in the room looked at their best friends and made faces at each other. "Don't worry I will choose for you." Ms. Pharaoh stated with a sort of evil giggle. I think I already like this teacher. She picked out Popsicle sticks with names on them and called off names. "John and Stacey, Peter and Joan, Jack and Jake....." She called off names until there were only 8 people left. "Matt and Emily."
