*Emily's POV*
We finally reached the field. It was extremely muddy. For safety precautions, Taylor, Jack J, and Jack G went first. After they went, Cameron, Nash, Savannah, and Aaron went. Finally Matt, Carter, and I went. "Are you ready?" Asked Matthew. "As I'll ever be." I replied nervously. Then they put the car in gear and started spinning the car around in the mud. Mud flew up into Matt's mouth. He spit it back out on Carter. "Are you serious!?!" Screamed Carter over the sound of the screeching Jeep. "Oops!" Replied Matt. I just kept laughing. I was in between Carter and Matt so I didn't get as muddy as them. "Oh so you think it's funny?" Laughed Carter. "No not at all!" I yelled back. "I think she does." Laughed Matt. Then Carter grabbed some mud that was on his leg and flung it at me. "Oh my god Carter! You will pay!!" I said laughing. Then the car stopped. We all got out and gathered with the boys. I stood next to Savannah and we discussed the mudding adventure. We were both the cleanest out of everyone. "Hey guys!" Yelled Cameron, "I don't think they got muddy enough!" Then all the guys put their attention towards Savannah and I. "Shit." Savannah said under her breath. Then all the guys started throwing mud at us. "No!" I squealed. I put my hands out to stop the mud from going in my face, but it didn't help much. Next thing I knew everyone was throwing mud at each other. Then the drivers stopped us and took us home. Matt's mom refused to let us in the house all muddy, so we went in the backyard to hose down. We had to do it one at a time since there was one hose. The water was ice cold. First Cameron went, then Savannah, and so on and so forth. Matt's mom threw us towels to dry off. She was one short so Matt and I shared one. We all sat on the curb in the front yard and we probably looked like homeless people. Everyone was wrapped up in their individual towels, except for Matt and I. We watched the sun go down until nothing but the moon shined bright above us. Then we all gathered in Matt's house. Everyone changed into different cloths except for me. I was going to go home and take a shower anyways. I said goodbye to the boys and Savannah, and Matt's mom drove me home. "Are you seriously ok with all these kids staying at your house?" I asked as she pulled out of the driveway. "Well ever since you came along, Matt has seemed to be, I don't know, happier? I see that smile on his face when he is with you, and it is just the best thing to see. He is happy, and as long as he is happy, I am happy." I smiled. "Well put Mrs. Espinosa, well put." I replied as she pulled up to the curb in the front of my house. I thanked her for everything and went inside my house. I greeted my mom and sister, then I took a shower. Mud kept pouring down the drain, even after hosing down. When I finished my shower, I went straight to bed. Tomorrow was a Friday, and it was also Amanda's recital day.
