•Chapter 22•

*Emily's POV*
I woke up still on Matt's chest. I also smelt pancakes. Marissa and Jake must have gotten up early and made them. Matt was still asleep and I didn't want to wake him up, so I laid down a little longer on my phone. I got a text, from Matt. I looked over to him smiling at me. I didn't even know he was awake. I read the text that said, "Good morning Beautiful" I blushed and kissed his cheek. We got up and I put my hair in a messy bun and brushed my teeth. Then I went downstairs to the kitchen to see Matt, Marissa, and Jake eating. There were no more pancakes left. "Whatttttt?" I said acting like a two year old. "You snooze you lose" Matt replied. I punched him playfully on the arm and made myself a bowl of cereal. Matt came over and took my cereal away from me and dumped it into the sink. I just glared at him. Then he walked up to me with his hands behind his back, then he pulled out a plate with pancakes, eggs, and bacon and put it in front of me. "You didn't think I would forget you, did you?" He said smiling and kissing me on the forehead. I got up and hugged him. "So what do you guys want to do today?" Asked Marissa. "The Beach!!!" Matt screamed. It was 84 degrees out so we agreed. I finished my breakfast and changed into a teal bikini with a black crop top and white vans. Matt and Jake just wore their shorts to swim in. I grabbed my towel and we all got in the car and left. While we were in the car Love Robbery came on the radio. Matt told Jake to turn it up and he did. Then, Matt started to scream the lyrics at me. I couldn't stop laughing. Once we parked the car I got out and took off my crop too and vans. I was about to grab my towel when Matt picked me up bridal style and ran to the water. He through me in and I acted like I got hurt. He put out his hand so he could help me up, but I pulled him in too. "Oh it's on" he said splashing me with water. I screamed and started running down the beach. He almost got me when I bumped Ito someone. I looked up and apologized. "No no it's fine" replied a guy about my age, and wasn't too bad looking. "So, um, what's your name?" He continued. Matt grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. "Her name is back off from my girlfriend" Matt said angrily. This boy was a lot taller than Matt and muscular too. "Woah" the boy said "are we going to have a problem?" He stiffened up getting taller. "Nope, we were just passing by" I said tugging Matt the other way. "You know what" Matt protested "I think we are" he said getting closer to the boy. Then unexpectedly the boy picked up his arm and punched Matt right in the nose. Then the boy ran off. I guided Matt to the water so he could clean off the bleeding. I cupped water in my hands and wiped his face. "I'm sorry" Matt said disappointed. "It's ok" I replied. "But it isn't, I completely embarrassed you back there, and I'm sorry" he was really beating himself up about this. "I just really love you, Emily, and I just didn't want to lose you" he was sweet. I looked over to see if Marissa was looking, but she was too busy with Jake. Then I kissed Matt. We kissed for a solid 2 minutes. When I pulled away he picked me up and brought me to the ice cream stand. "Do you want to share one?" He asked. I nodded my head yes. "Cookie Dough" we said in sinc. Then I laughed. We got the ice cream and sat down, when all of a sudden I looked up to see Amanda glaring at us.
