*Emily's POV*
We walked to the car and I didn't care what I looked like. I was in sweatpants and my New York basketball shirt. I decided that my hair was a mess so I put it in a messy bun. When we arrived I hesitated to go in. I was buying a dress for my best friends funeral. I pulled it together and we walked in the store. I looked through a bunch of dresses but I didn't really like them. Then I found one dress. It was plain black with a black lace fold over the top part. It was honestly gorgeous. "This one." I said to my mom. She bought it in my size with no hesitation. Then we went back home. I was going to wear my black toms to go with it. Tomorrow was the wake so we all basically stand there and pay our respects to James for 2 hours. I ironed my dress and put it out for tomorrow. Then I stayed in bed and watched movies for the rest of the day. I skipped lunch and dinner and I honestly wasn't hungry. Then I slowly drifted off to sleep. Tonight I actually did have a dream. It was Matt, James, and I just playing basketball like nothing was wrong. Then I abruptly woke up. It was 12:30 p.m. I dragged myself out of bed. The wake was from 2:00-4:00. I put on my dress and toms. I then applied some light makeup and curled my hair. Then I put my curled hair into a half ponytail. By the time I was done it was 1:30. I went downstairs and ate some breakfast, a piece of bacon. My mom and sister were all ready. Then we went to the funeral home. We got there at 2:05. We walked in and my jaw almost dropped. There were tons of people. The boys, Matt, Amanda, Savannah, kids from our school, my family, Matt's family, James family, and plenty more. Hayes and Shawn flew out too. They didn't know James, but they did it out of respect. A lot of people were crying. Some people were just staring at James' casket, some were socializing, and then there was me. I didn't just stare, I didn't cry, I didn't socialize, I just made my way up to James' casket and talked to him. Even though he probably couldn't here me, and I most likely looked crazy, but I didn't care. When I was done I just went to the bathroom and stayed there. I was awkward with death. I just don't like it. I sat in the bathroom and stared at the wall. Then Amanda and Savannah walked in. They probably saw me and followed me in here. "Oh Emily." Said Savannah as her and Amanda sat next to me. We just talked for most of the time. Then at 3:30 we decide to go back out and talk to the boys and James' family.
