*Emily's POV*

Matt was such a sweetheart. He offered to walk me to my house and we talked about things I'd probably only tell Abby. I felt as though I could trust him even though I knew nothing about him. But then again my instincts were never that great to begin with. We finally reached my house; I wanted to ask for his number but I didn't want to be too froward. When he asked for mine I was so relieved. Since I have a tendency to be socially awkward, I didn't want anything to get weird, so I gave him my number said goodbye and walked in the house. Then I realized something I failed to do and felt like an incompetent idiot.

*Matt's POV*

There is something about Emily that is special. She isn't like other girls. Well at least the ones I'm friends with. When she gave me her number I was super excited I'm not going to lie. She handed me my phone back, thanked me, and walked into her house. I watched her walk and noticed she was still limping, I hope she gets better soon. It's 8:30 p.m. and I need to get home or my mom will kill me. I started to walk away and I heard someone yell "Matt!" It was Emily. I turned around and she had my sweatshirt in her hands. "I'm sorry. I forgot I still had it on," She explained nervously. I told her it was ok and not to worry about it. She was really embarrassed and she looked so adorable. I smiled, took the jacket, and started to walk away.
