•Chapter 12•

*Emily's POV*

There were only 5 chairs and everyone already sat down so Matt let me sit while he stood. "Before you say anything it wasn't Emily's fault." said Matt protectively. I looked up at him and he just looked down and winked. "What did you guys do?" Mr. Manson, our principal, said while rubbing his head. "I screamed" spoke up a girl named Stacey. "She saw a spider." Laughed her partner John. "That's why we are in here?!?!" Said Jack angrily. "Just go back to class I have better things to worry about." Mr. Manson said annoyed. We all got up and started walking back. "I appreciate it you know." I said to Matt. "For what?" "For saying that to Mr. Manson even though he cared less." Matt just looked at me for a while, then he spoke up, "I would do anything for you" he looked up at the ceiling like he was embarrassed for what he said. "I mean we aren't dating or anything but like.....uhm.....like" I wanted to cut him off by kissing him but I knew he had a girlfriend. "No, I know what you mean." I said so he wouldn't feel awkward. He just looked down and smiled.

*Matt's POV*
I know that I'm dating Amanda, but I feel like I belong with Emily. She has these eyes. I could stare into them for centuries. And her smile was like no others. I got so embarrassed when I said that I would do anything for her. I mean I would but I felt like I just made everything awkward. We finally reached Ms. Pharaoh's room. "What do we say?" Emily asked concerned. Just follow my lead. We knocked on the door and Ms. Pharaoh answered. "Hi, Ms. Pharaoh" I said. "What are you guys doing back so soon?" She asked really aggravated. "Mr. Manson told us to come back and..." "Just sit down" she cut me off. Emily sat behind me in her seat, Then the bell rang. She got her things and waited for me. Then we walked to the door. "Hey do you want to walk home with me today?" I asked her. "Ummmm sure, why not." She said. When she said yes it made me so happy.
