*Emily's POV*
I walked out of the bathroom more confused than I was when I entered. Once I got back to the living room Cameron said, "Matt, Emily, I need to talk to you." Matt and I followed him to the kitchen. "What up?" Asked Matt. "I can't go through with this." Cameron said flatly. I kind of understood, but he needed to. "I will go to her recital and tell her the situation." Said Cameron. "But why?" Asked Matt innocently. "Because I can relate to her. Because I was that kid that was popular in freshman year, and I made some mistakes that I will always regret. Sophomore year was hell for me. I tried to commit suicide multiple times, but all were obviously failed attempts. I just don't want Amanda to try to take her life, because sure, she was a bitch, but what if she changed? The only reason I changed my ways and stopped trying to commit suicide was because of one of my best friends, Chris. He was my savior. And that's all Amanda needs, a real friend. And I'm not going to go through with ruining Amanda's life. Because I know I wouldn't want someone to do that to me." Matt and I just stood there, not being able to react to this statement. Then Cameron left to the living room.

*Cameron's POV*
"Savannah I need to talk to you." I stated as I pulled her to the side. "Is everything ok?" Savannah asked worried. "I just need to get something off my chest. I really really like you Savannah, and I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt you... It's just... It's just..." I trailed off. "It's just what?" She asked touching my arm. "It's just I need to do something tonight and you might get upset." The sympathetic look in her eyes turned to plain confusion. "What do you need to do?" She asked. "I need to go to Amanda's recital..." I finally choked out. She looked at me not angry but something I've never seen in her eyes before. "Okay... As a date or a friend?" She asked. "Well she probably takes it as a date." I said looking down at the ground. She immediately took her hand off of my arm. "Oh. Um... Okay, I understand." She said as her voice wavered. I tried to hug her but she pushed away. "I should go." She said as she walked out of the door. I just stood there with a tear falling down my cheek. By now everyone was staring at me. I just left to go get changed for the recital. Once I got out of the bathroom I walked over to the car in the driveway and drove to the place Amanda had texted Matt. On my way I stopped to get flowers. I was still flustered and my night was ruined, but I wasn't going to ruin someone else's, too. I walked in and automatically Amanda embraced me with a hug. "You came!" She said excitedly. "I did!" I responded. "I need to talk to you." I said to her. These words were used way too many times in one night. She walked me over to a quieter place where there were less people and said, "Yes?" I could barely speak. "You are a sweet girl, and I don't want to hurt you, but I can't be in a relationship with you. You see, I like this other girl, her name is Savannah. She is the most amazing girl I have ever met and I jeopardized our relationship by coming here. I will stay for your recital, but as a friend. I just wanted to tell you that before I led you on." That was harder to get out than I thought. She looked down at the floor like she was thinking wether to be hurt or completely fine. "That's ok." She said. I must have looked at her surprised because she kept going. "I haven't been the best person lately, and I guess I kind of deserve this. But I would love for you to stay, as a friend." She said with a smile. I hugged her tightly and then she went up to preform. Did that really just happen?
