*Emily's POV*
I went to my next class and settled. It seemed like 12 hours for 5th period lunch to come around but in reality it was only around one. I walked down to the cafeteria and went into the lunch line. Just as I paid and started to walk over to the table that James was sitting at, I felt someone tug one of the belt rings on my jeans. I turned around to see Matt with a worried expression. "Are you ok Matt?" I asked worried that he was going to throw up. "I can't sit over there.... Amanda..... My teammate, I'm not ready to Emily." A tear formed along his bottom water line. It fell down his cheek and I wiped it away. "It's ok, Matt, I'll sit with you" I said with a reassuring smile. He led me over to a different section of the cafeteria and we sat down. We were the only ones there. "Why is no one over here?" I asked suspiciously. "Not a lot of kids have allergies I guess." Matt answered me. I had no idea what he meant by this and and must have read my expression cause he continued, "This is the area for kids with allergies." He said. "Ohhhh" I said feeling like an idiot. I looked around and realized no one could see us except for a few geeky kids. We talked for a few minutes and laughed a lot while observing the other people around us. What seemed like 5 minutes was actually 30. The bell rang and the last thing Matt said to me was, "Looking forward to seeing you later, Emily" I smiled the thought that he was looking forward to seeing me. I returned to my 5th period class and the day, once again, flew by. The last period bell rang and I'm pretty sure I was the first one out of the classroom. I ran to my locker and discovered that I forgot my sweatshirt. I didn't pay much attention to that, I had other things on my mind, like Matt. I waited outside once again for Matt but this time he actually showed up. Once the buses pulled away, we started to walk. We talked and I didn't know that I was shivering, but Matt seemed to notice. "Here" he said handing me the same sweatshirt he gave me the first day we met. I just looked up and him and smiled. He caught on why and just ruffled my hair. I slipped on the sweatshirt and was immediately filled with warmth. We inched closer and closer to my house, but I didn't want this walk to end. But I guess all good things must come to an end sooner or later. "So here we are again" he said smiling and sighing at the same time. "I guess we are" I said agreeing with him. "Oh, um Emily, I have this football game tonight at 6:00 and I was wondering if you would want to come?" He said with a hopeful look in his eyes. "Well, you see Matt, I'm not a football fan." His hopeful expression turned into disappointment. "Oh I see" he said walking away. "But" I continued, "if you will be there, I wouldn't miss it if my life depended on it" I said with a little giggle. He ran up to me and hugged me then picked me up and souk me around. "Don't tease me Emily Cook" he said still spinning me. He let me down and I got really dizzy. I nearly fell down the driveway, but he caught me. Our faces were inches away from each other, I had an urge to kiss him, but I fought it. "Your sweatshirt" I said changing the subject. "Keep it" he said "It looks better on you anyways" he continued with a wink. "So I guess I'll see you tonight?" He said. "Wouldn't miss it" I replied. He walked away with a smile of content. I ran to my front door and unlocked it. I ran to my room and called my mom. "Mom?" I said as she picked up the phone. "Hi sweetie" she responded. "Ok, so a boy in my school asked me to go to his football game, can I?" I said quickly and hopefully. "A boy, huh?" She said, and I knew she was smirking. "Just answer the question." I laughed. "I guess" she said with a sigh. "YES! I love you Mom, bye" I hung up and ran to my bathroom. I checked the time. It was 3:00. I had 3 hours until I needed to be there. I took a really quick shower so my hair had time to dry. I put on light blue denim high waisted skinny jeans, my black ugg boots, and a floral short sleeve crop top. I applied some light makeup and curled my hair. I clipped my band back and looked at the time. It was now 4:45. I still had time so I did my homework to I wouldn't have to do any over the weekend. By the time I finished it was 5:30. "Time to go see my bae." I said aloud to myself. I took a few more steps then stopped. "Wait what did I just say?"
