My Girl

Victoria's days passed like normal. She was so busy after duty dahil sa pagbabalik ni Olivia sa Manila. She was so engrossed to the thought that she will do everythingto make her safe, para na rin sa saeilimg kapanakanan ng ama na labis na nag-aalala para kay Olivia.

She sighed after Jack told her what will happen on the day of Diana and Borris' wedding. The media was talking too much about the presidential daughter's wedding after the palace announced it. Others called it wedding of the century.

"Are you sure that we can trust Kristoff, Jack?" She asked her brother after sipping on her afternoon tea.

Pinagkrus ni Jack ang kanyang binti at nag-angat ng tingin mula sa kanyang iPad. Ngumisi siya sa kapatid.

"You don't trust Kristoff?" Balik na tanong ni Jack.

Ngumuso si Victoria at nagkibit-balikat.

"He put Olivia in danger, Jack. It's just enough for us to doubt him." I said.

Binaba ni Jack ang kanyang iPad ng tuluyan at sumimsim sa kanyang tsaa. He was amused by what she said.

"Oh, it's bad. You don't trust your brother-in-law? Tsk. Ano ang iisipin ni Greg niyan?" Umiling siya.

Umirap si Victoria. Sa kahit na anong oras talagang nakakahanap ng pagkakataon si Jack na asarin siya. She was getting used to it. The patio door opened. Lumabas doon si Judge Victor na tulak-tulak ng kanyang private nurse.

They smiled a bit to the nurse bago ito umalis para bigyan sila ng privacy. Victoria kissed her father's cheek. Tumango lamang si Jack rito.

"It's good to see my children spending time together these days. I missed having you both home hijo and hija." He smiled and held their both hands.

"Stop being so cringy, Dad." Saway ni Victoria.

Tumawa ang hukom sa sinabi niya. Jack smiled a bit too.

"Naibalita na sa akin ni Jack, hija. Tomorrow will be a big surprise for the country. I hope you both will be  safe with Olivia. Hindi ko kakayanin if something will happen to you like your mother." He said.

Tumango si Victoria. Jidge Victor failed to protect their mother from his court enemies. Inambush ito kaya naman malaki ang pagsisisi ni Judge Victor at kagustuhan nito na mailigtas si Olivia na binilin sa kanya ngd ating kasintahang si Ofelia.

"Do not worry about us, Dad. Matagal mamatay ang mga de la Vega. We can handle it." Jack said.

Tumango ang hukom.

"I know but—"

"Jack's right, Dad. He may be stupid but we are capable of doing this. Trust us." She cut his father's worry.

Nagising si Victoria nang maaga. Bumaba siya para mag-agahan. Nakita niyang naroon na si Jack at bihis na sa kanyang itim na pantalon at long sleeves. Prente itong kumakain ng toast at kape habang may binabasa sa iPad.

"Good morning, sister." He greeted.

Nagsalin si Victoria nang  kape at hindi na nag-abala pang umupo. Her hands were trembling today. This is indeed a big bomb to drop today. Para silang naghahamon ng giyera sa pinakamalaking tao sa bansa ngayon— ang Presidente.

"Are you nervous?" Jack asked.

Umiling siya. Jack looked at her seriously.

"I am so sorry, Tori. But we need you today. I hope I can exclude you from this." He sighed.
