Renjun noticed his friend's change really quickly. He was relaxing in Donghyuck's room, laying in his best friend's bed while he was doing some exercises for math. As he looked away from his phone, at the blonde haired vampire, Renjun suddenly noticed something on his neck. Claw marks. Since the other day, when they had to finish their afternoon classes earlier because of the police that came, Donghyuck slightly changed his behavior. Now, it was four in the afternoon and because the detectives were wandering the school, they couldn't hold their afternoon classes.

"Did you go hunting last night?" Renjun asked and rested his head in his palm while he stared at his best friend. He quickly saw how tense Donghyuck became all of a sudden. His tanned hand quickly touched the spot where the claw marks were visible.

"No I didn't. I just got into a small fight with another student." Donghyuck glanced at him before looking back at the text book. Why was he pretending to concentrate when Renjun already knew he was faking everything? Something was up and he had to find out quickly.

Still, instead of continuing questioning his best friend, Renjun pushed himself up and sighed loudly. "I'm going out a bit." He announced, receiving a small nod from the blonde haired vampire. He was acting really weird, Renjun kept on thinking while he walked around the dorm. Students were relaxing in the lounge from the ground floor, some reading some, chatting in small groups.

Renjun stopped in the middle of the wide room and looked around a bit. He didn't know what to do now, since the classes were canceled for a few days until the police was done investigating. The brunette was about to sit down on an red armchair when he noticed someone sitting at a table for two next to a window. The raven haired male was drinking some coffee while his eyes were fixed onto something from outside.

Taking a deep breath, Renjun started approaching the table. He tried to ignore the fact that his heart started beating faster than normal and the fact that his palms became sweaty all of a sudden.

"Can I sit here?" Renjun asked softly when he reached the table. His voice brought Jaemin back to reality and in his surprise, the raven haired vampire nodded without complaining. "Are they going to interrogate us too?" He asked, trying to break the awkward silence between them.

"Most probably." Jaemin replied and took a sip from his coffee. "Why did you ask that vampire for help? Now you know who he is."

A small smile formed Renjun's lips. He was really grateful to Jeno because now he had a part of his powers back. "Because you didn't want to help me. Also, the fact that he scared the hell out of you was amusing." After Jaemin glared at him, the brunette chuckled.

"You'll just end up using him. You did the same thing with me after all. It wasn't my behavior that made you break up with me, but the fact that I realized what was on your mind too early and managed to push you away." Jaemin's response made Renjun flinch. Did he feel guilty that he wanted to use him that time? No. He wanted power and Renjun already admitted to himself how greedy he was. Still, he ended up hurting someone he really cared about. "Don't worry. Jeno is smarter than me so just in case you have the same intention, he might already know."

The brunette looked at his pale hands. He couldn't meet Jaemin's eyes.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled and randomly looked at the half empty glass of iced coffee. "You already knew how greedy I was from the start. You should have payed more attention to your surroundings."

"So you don't feel guilty at all." Jaemin added, his eyes not leaving Renjun's face. When the brunette nodded, he sighed. "At least you apologized." The raven haired chuckled bitterly and took a sip from the coffee. "It took you some time though."
