"What the fuck happened to you?" Sungchan asked after they were far away from the castle. If he would look behind, he would only be able to see one tower, but in rest, nothing. Trees were surrounding the two vampires and Jaemin didn't seem to notice his friend's concern until the taller pushed aside the collar of the bloody shirt he was wearing. "What is this? Why isn't it healing?"

"I got poisoned so I won't heal. I'll need treatment." The vampire flinched at the touch and moved a bit further away from Sungchan. The tall vampire seemed really concerned and angry at the same time and the prince couldn't blame him at all. "I got out okay? Jeno promised he would get me out and he did, so don't you ever try harm him. You'll lose anyway."

"Is he that strong?" Sungchan asked, his dark eyes turning red from anger. He scanned the whole path and the trees. His fists clenched. "Did you know everything? Also why would you go with the enemy? What's wrong with you?"

"I-" Jaemin didn't really know what to say. He bit his lower lip and started playing with one of his rings. Should he tell him he fell for the prince? No, if he would, then it will be chaos. "I knew, but..." The prince sighed loudly. "I got to look at him not as an enemy but as a friend. I know it sounds crazy, maybe I am, but Jeno is just like us. We're all the same, it's the dynasty that makes us enemies. Why can't we get along?"

"Are you mad? Our dynasty made them hate us. How would they want to make peace?"

Jaemin glanced up at Sungchan. The taller looked back at him and pursed his lips.

"Maybe if they saw their leaders get along it might work." The raven haired replied and quickly looked away. He wasn't meant for Jeno at all, but it wasn't his fault he fell hard for him. And then there was also Renjun. "Everything is fucked up, I know. I'll make it work somehow. I'll be sent back home once we get to school and Miss Kim finds out what happened. She will send people after them, I just know it."

"She won't stand a chance." Sungchan scoffed and rolled his eyes. He ran a hand through his brown hair and looked up at the branches filled with green leaves. "If Jeno is that strong like you say he is, then she won't stand a chance."

If only things were like that, Jaemin thought.

"Her people won't stand a chance in front of him." The raven haired replied after some moments of silence. He also decided to scan the whole area with his eyes and he had to admit it, it was a beautiful sight. With the sun rays that were falling through the leaves, touching the land softly and with the sweet song that rang in his ears each time some birds would fly around the forest, the forest became a nice and relaxing space. His eyes landed on a Death Talisman and the image of the day he went with Jeno for blood came back. How he asked for his friendship that day in the forest. He was glad the prince accepted his offer of leaving the campus. "Miss Kim is the third most powerful vampire in our dynasty." Jaemin continued after he realized he stopped talking. "If her people will die then she will go to him in person. I believe Jeno will be more than excited to fight her."

"How mad is that guy?" Sungchan asked, his brows furrowing in confusion and concern.

A small smile formed Jaemin's lips as he looked up at the younger again. "If you know how crazy Renjun is, then you already know the answer."

"I'm not that close to him."

"He killed his parents when he was young because he was a half-breed. Jeno did the same just this noon. If that prince wants to kill someone from our family, then there will be war."

The two held the eye contact for a few moments. Jaemin knew Sungchan understood already how bad the situation was. None of them said anything again, for a really long time, hours actually, but Jaemin didn't mind it at all. Actually, they didn't talk until they walked out of the territory and forest, and when they were out on the path that would lead them to the school, Jaemin suddenly felt a lump in his throat forming and he felt weaker than before. His wounds were killing him, especially the one from his neck that wasn't healing fast at all. He felt as weak as a human and he hated is a bit too much.
