"So we heard you'll be going home for a few days. How come?" Mark asked the vampire that evening, when they were hidden in the back of the giant library where no one could hear them. Jeno was sitting in front of him, with his back resting by some shelves filled with dusty and old books. Donghyuck was next to him and his head was resting on his friend's shoulder.

"Yeah, I have to do something so they won't think I actually ran away for good." Jeno chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. He showed the two vampire hunters a smile, as if he didn't actually have some dark thoughts wandering his mind. "I...I want to tell you two something." The brunette started and nudged Donghyuck so he would straighten his back and act serious.

"Are we really telling them?" The blonde haired vampire whispered and looked really concerned. It had been three days since both Renjun and Jaemin found out and those two had to know. Besides, there came another problem with the fact that neither of them wanted to harm any vampires in that school. "Jeno you're crazy."

"Took you long enough to realize that." The brunette sighed and looked at both Chenle and Mark, who were waiting for an answer. They both seemed confused, which was understandable. "I became Jaemin's friend." The vampire finally said and sighed loudly. He looked away, at his hands. "For good."

"You have to be kidding me." Mark mumbled and glanced at Donghyuck, who just cleared his throat and avoided his eyes. "And you really think this is okay?"

"You won't understand since you're not a vampire." Donghyuck hissed and his eyes turned golden immediately. "It's like me telling you to stop being friends with Chenle."

"That's different." Mark cracked his knuckles as he said that. "We're both on the same team while you two aren't. What happened to I want to get my revenge on those bastards?" The blonde haired vampire hunter looked away from Donghyuck and grabbed Jeno's wrist, making the blonde vampire hiss at him. "Jeno. You can't be serious. We're already on their territory. The last thing we want now is for them to expose us."

Jeno met his eyes and sighed. He didn't know what to say to be honest. He did want to get his revenge, but in the same time, they were all vampires. If that murder wouldn't have happened in the first place then their dynasties might have been on good terms now.

"Look, I know what you mean." The vampire pushed his hand away and glanced at Chenle, who was still keeping himself silent. "It's the fact that we might change this. It's not his fault some idiot who was once king killed ours. It's not like we can't change our future if we try."

Mark sighed and looked at Chenle. The raven haired vampire hunter seemed deep into his thoughts. His brows were furrowed and his lips were parted and he wasn't looking at any of them.

"Chenle, what do you thing of this?" Mark patted his shoulder, to bring his friend back to reality. When the youngest snapped out of his thoughts and blinked few times, he looked from Mark to the two vampires in front of him. "It's madness right?"

"He has a point in a way." The vampire hunter said, startling his friend with his words because Mark's eyes went wide. "I'm not saying I'm on his side, but he does have a point. Our job here is to find every vampire that is part from the sun dynasty. It's not our job to exterminate them, so we're done here." His eyes met Jeno's. The vampire could see nothing in them, not even one emotion, which made him feel weak. "The higher ups already know who you are, but we will pretend we never heard of your plan."

"What?" Both Jeno and Mark asked and they looked at each other before their eyes went back on Chenle. The pale boy just shrugged his shoulders.

"Let's just see how this will end." The raven haired showed a smile and stood up. "Let's go, dinner will be served soon." He told Mark, whose lips were parted in shock.
