"How is father?" Jaemin asked that morning, when he was having breakfast with his mother and sister. It has been two days since he arrived home, yet he didn't see his dad yet. His eyes landed from Jieun to his mom. The queen kept her silver eyes on a golden cup filled with blood. She was thinking of what to tell her son, who already guessed most of it already. "You haven't found any witch to wake him up?"

"I did." His mother replied and her silver eyes met his dark ones. "Twenty witches and no none of them managed to wake your father up." She sighed heavily and showed a small smile that had no hope it in anymore.

Jaemin couldn't help but understand her. Her loved one was in a sleeping state for over five years now, just because of some blood he drank one time. The prince never understood what happened and even after so many years, it was all a mystery. How could his father, the number one vampire in his family, become like this? Who did such thing to him? That's what he couldn't understand at all. It must have been some kind of poison, but then again, who did it?

"I'm sure we'll find a cure soon." Jieun spoke and smiled before taking a small sip from the cup of blood before her eyes. She looked from her older brother back to her mother and held her pale hand. "He will come back to us, don't worry."

"You know what the problem really is?" The queen suddenly asked, ignoring her daughter's action of calming her. Her eyes were fixed on Jaemin, which brought him a wave of anxiety. "Our people think he is dead. Just imagine if the Moon Dynasty finds out the king isn't awake. We'll be seen as weak. Who knows what could the do to us?"

The raven haired young vampire had to look away from his mom. His eyes met Jieun's. His sister also looked away from him quickly and played with a fork that she did not use yet. If only his mother knew that he actually became friends with the enemy. That he fell in love like an idiot with the prince. He would be dead if she found out.

"Right. Since you got kidnapped and all, were you able to see the surroundings? Maybe we can find where their castle is." The queen suddenly said, changing the subject from their father, because it was too tragic and sad to talk about him for so long. "Were they evil to you? I heard you got poisoned."

Jaemin flinched. Wasn't she mad at Miss Kim for not taking care of him properly?

"I-I was..." The prince clenched his fist. "They poisoned me so that my powers won't heal me at all." He suddenly remembered how Donghyuck had to cut him so that Jungwoo wouldn't get the idea that they were going to get him out. Right, did Jeno's cousin know the truth? He hoped not, because Jungwoo didn't seem friendly at all when he was locked down there. "It was awful, but I managed to run away and Sungchan found me in the woods. If only Miss Kim was careful."

Jaemin glanced at his mom. He hoped in seeing her anger, he hoped to notice how much she wanted Miss Kim dead, but instead of seeing her want to murder someone, he saw a smile forming her pink lips. Her silver eyes never left his face and in a matter of seconds, her claws appeared. Why wasn't she angry? Why did his mother look like she knew something she shouldn't?

"When did you become such good at acting, Jaemin?" The raven haired woman asked and the smile was suddenly gone. From the way she gently took off Jieun's hand, the prince realized he was more than dead. "Why did you lie?"

"What are you talking about?" Jaemin stood up and glared at her. He had to act as if he was betrayed and frustrated that she didn't believe him. He couldn't show any fear. "I almost died there and you think I'm acting? That bitch didn't look after me like she should! That's why I was kidnapped."

"Really? Then why did I hear that your roommate was the enemy himself?"

Her question made the young vampire widen his eyes. How did she find out? No one knew that Jeno was an enemy. He didn't tell anyone at all. The only one who found out was...

"Sungchan." Jaemin whispered to himself and stared at his mother with fear. "What did he tell you?"

"That boy?" The queen rested her chin in her pale palm. "Let me see. That you didn't run away but someone took you out of there. That the same vampire called him to get you out. That you left on your own. Also the fact that your roommate was the prince himself. That you suddenly became his friend. Do I need to continue?" A smile formed her lips before she stood up and slapped her fists by the table, startling bot Jaemin and Jieun. "Are you out of your mind??" His mom yelled and teleported herself next to him. Her cold hand grabbed his chin and made him look at her. "What happened to my boy? This is not the Jaemin I know."

"You won't punish me for what I did?" The prince asked softly. He was unable to say anything else, because he already knew there was no point in lying.

His mom chuckled and caressed his cheek softly, but with no love. "I don't need to punish you, child. You're already being punished with something else."

"W-What do you mean?" Jaemin blinked and suddenly felt some tears forming in his eyes.

"Right, you haven't heard yet." The queen spoke softly. Her brows furrowed as if she was confused. "Renjun is dead and you know why? Because he couldn't kill you that time and his owners killed him for that."

Jaemin widened his eyes. He suddenly felt his legs numb and when he looked at his mom, he couldn't believe it? "What?" He asked weakly and bit his lower lip that started to tremble. How did she find out about Renjun as well?

"He's dead, but don't worry, I would have killed him myself anyway." Her hand  stood on his shoulder for a few more seconds before she pushed herself away from her son. "Look after your brother from now on. If I hear he left the castle things will get bad." The woman hissed and glared at Jaemin. "Be careful from now on. I don't want to lose my son either."
