The moment Jeno left Jungwoo's room, he finally took a deep breath. He was more than angry in that moment because he let Renjun betray them. From the moment the vampire was brought back to life, he knew that he might betray them. Jeno was 85% sure that Renjun was going to do it, because he wasn't going to stop hurting others until he will kill a royalty. He failed to kill one of his parents that time, so he was going to try killing Jaemin's mom for sure. Jeno understood him well, because he would have done the same if his parents wouldn't have been dead by now, but breaking Jaemin's heart like that wasn't the good way to do it. And on top of all of this, someone from the castle most probably helped him and Jeno had a feeling who. He tried not to think of his best friend siding with the vampire, but Donghyuck might have caught too many feelings that time.

While walking up some marble stairs, towards where he thought Donghyuck might be, Jeno kept on thinking. If he really helped Renjun with this, he was going to be disappointed only. Renjun could have just ran away without stabbing Jaemin with a poisoned knife. But if Donghyuck was innocent, then it was all good and he had no reason to worry too much.

The prince reached the floor he wanted to in less than five minutes. He stopped by the staircase and looked around. There were three doors on the right side and two on the left one and Donghyuck's room was situated on the right side. Jeno decided to start walking towards the last door, but as he did that, he didn't forget to look outside, through the wide windows that allowed the light to enter the corridor all the time. He spotted no one by the forest, but he could have teleported himself from there anyway.

When he finally reached the door, the prince sighed. He really hoped Donghyuck was there and he didn't help Renjun almost kill Jaemin in his own castle. He placed his hand on the doorknob and pressed it down so the door would open with no sound. He then stepped inside and closed it behind before looking around. The room was empty, with no sign of life. Still, the window was opened and a gust of wind was making the curtains dance.

"Can I help you?" Donghyuck's voice rang in his ears which made the vampire turn around only to see the blonde haired behind him. One of his brows was raised, showing he was confused. He was a good actor, Jeno thought to himself.

"Actually yes." The brunette showed a smile and dropped himself on his friend's massive bed. He didn't want to look too suspicious.

"Okay?" Donghyuck rolled his eyes and walked away from the door. He sat down by the edge of the bed and looked at his best friend. "What is it?" He asked which made Jeno look back at him.

"Jaemin was stabbed with a poisoned knife." When he said that, his friend flinched as if he couldn't believe his words. "With The Devil's Blood actually."

"What the fuck?" The blonde haired whispered and blinked with shock.

"Yeah." Jeno sat up and didn't look away from the younger. "Renjun was the one who stabbed him." He watched closely, because he knew Donghyuck well enough to know if he was going to lie and hide what he did. The blonde haired vampire looked away first before he frowned. He bit his lower lip, a sign of stress from him. "I know only one person who knows where to find such poison." He then added, making his friend feel pressured and trapped. "Because that person has the secret ingredient in his own fucking back yard."

"Stop accusing me for something I didn't do." Donghyuck growled at him while his eyes changed their dark color.

His whole way of reacting told Jeno everything he needed to know.

"It's not my fault you have the Devil's Flower in your backyard." The brunette spoke coldly and clenched his jaw. "Why did you help him?"

"What?" Donghyuck stood up and showed his claws. "Are you fucking kidding me? I never did that." He then scoffed and approached the open window. "Why would you fucking accuse me for something like this?"
