The next morning Jeno woke up early. The sun was just appearing through the trees and when he slightly opened the window, he felt no warmth. It was still too early, but the fact that his cousin was coming that day again made him feel more anxious. He barely slept the night before, because he was too busy thinking of a way to still attend this school. He knew he could convince Jungwoo, but that meant his cousin would want something in return.  That vampire was really unpredictable. He could ask for anything in return because he knew he would be Jeno's only chance to stay at the school.

Ruffling his hair in frustration, Jeno pushed himself from the closed window and glanced at Jaemin. His roommate was sleeping like a baby, half of his face being hidden by the blanket. One of his arms was hugging the pillow tightly to his chest. As he stood there like a statue, Jeno realized that Jaemin looked really soft. He was sure the raven haired vampire was actually misunderstood by everyone, but one thing he liked about him was the fact that he didn't judge him for being from the rival dynasty.

Sighing, Jeno ruffled his hair again and walked away. He opened the closed in silence and took out some clothes. He entered the bathroom and washed his face before he got dressed. When he exited it, the brunette took his phone and checked the time. It was barely 7:30, but he could no longer stay put so the young vampire took one of the two keys that were hung by the nail in the wall and opened the door. After closing it softly so he wouldn't wake Jaemin up, Jeno locked it and started making his way towards the elevator.

The corridor was silent and empty, as if the whole building was abandoned, but the students were just asleep. Was he the only one awake? Well, he didn't really care, so Jeno pressed the button and waited for the elevator to come. In less than three minutes, the young man was outside the dorm building, standing at the top of the staircase. His eyes were closed and he just stood there without doing anything for a few moments. He listened to the wind that softly moved some branches and blew the bloomed flowers away from their trees, making them float it the air. Still, despite the peaceful sounds, when someone stepped on a twig and broke it in half, Jeno flinched and opened his eyes.

He looked around, but saw no one for a while. His brows furrowed in confusion because he was really sure someone was there. The vampire went down the stairs and stopped right in front of the first stair. He scanned the whole yard and again saw no one, but when he looked around again, for the third time, he finally spotted the tall and slim silhouette hidden behind a tree.

Jeno could already see his smirking face, so without hesitating, he started approaching the second vampire. Jungwoo was resting his shoulder by the tree when the younger reached him and when Jeno finally stopped, he realized he wasn't alone.

"You called him too?" The brunette asked and pointed at Donghyuck, that was already climbing the fence. When Jungwoo chuckled, the younger sighed. He let his cousin ruffle his hair. "How did you find me?"

"Oh you know, I heard around the town the interesting news so I had to check. Donghyuck was really keen on telling me you appeared out of nowhere few weeks ago." Jungwoo showed a cold smiled when he jumped above the fence. "Come, we can't talk here." He urged Jeno to do the same, which he did without complain. When he was finally on the other side, he slapped Donghyuck's nape, making the blonde haired vampire yelp.

"What was that for?"

"Why did you tell him?" Jeno hissed and glared at Jungwoo, but his cousin was too busy walking away from the two. "I thought I could trust you."

"You can." Donghyuck pouted and hugged his arm tightly. "I'm your best friend, I would never betray you, but he insisted to know..."

"What he means is that he almost died trying to hide the truth." Jungwoo interrupted him and turned around. His lips were forming a really creepy smile. "I almost slit his throat with my claws. He could have died really easily." His cousin the chuckled and jumped on a fallen tree.
