Renjun was wandering the school grounds that evening alone. The soft breeze was touching his face while he walked towards the school. His fists clenched without him even noticing but when the sharp pain struck both of his hands, only then did he realize his claws pierced through his skin and flesh. The brunette stopped in the middle of the garden and stared at his bloody and wounded palms. Blood was dripping from his fresh wounds that started to heal already, but not with the speed of an actual Death Angel. The vampire sighed and looked around the garden. Despite his mood, the world that surrounded him was full of life and joy, just like spring had to be. The flowers were already bloomed since the weather was nice these couple of days and the small trees were also green. Everything was green except of the grass beneath him. When he glanced at it, he saw a bit too many think leaves colored in metallic red.

It has been a day already since his big discovery and the sadness he felt the other day was now gone. What he felt now was frustration. How could he be so stupid? And why was Jaemin fine with what he found out?

"Don't tell me he..." Renjun widened his eyes a bit before shaking his head roughly and punching the closest tree he found. His claws left mark on it while his eyes turned red. "That filthy vampire will never take him." The small vampire hissed at no one and tried to calm himself a bit. It would be weird if someone saw him acting strange.

"Which filthy vampire?" A voice asked from behind which startled Renjun to the core and when he turned around, he almost bumped into Jeno, who was hanging by a branch. He was upside down and he had a smile forming his lips. "You seemed really angry because of someone. Can I know who?"

Because their faces were centimeters away, Renjun had to back away a bit. The vampire cleared his throat and ran a hand through his hair. "You."

"Me?" Jeno pointed at himself and blinked with innocence as if it wasn't obvious at all he was the main reason his plan was now ruined. "But I never did anything wrong."

His response made Renjun chuckle and crack his knuckles in annoyance. "You're alive and here. That's enough."

Jeno didn't reply right away. He pushed himself back on the branch and then jumped on the ground, landing right in front of the shorter. Renjun backed away again, but the taller came closer again, making the brunette stumble and almost fall. If Jeno wouldn't have grabbed him by his wrist, Renjun was sure he would have been on the grass already.

"You should be grateful." Jeno said while he caressed his cheek and smiled. "I gave you blood after all." His claws appeared, one of them almost stabbing his eye. "You do realize we have a bond right?" His question made Renjun flinch and widen his eyes in realization. "Why is everyone here so stupid?" The taller looked away and his hand slid down on Renjun's neck. "Wasn't it obvious?"

"I forgot." Renjun met his eyes and glared at the taller. Could his life become any more messier than it was already?

"Poor thing." Jeno said softly and patted his shoulder. "Now you live because of two vampires not one. Now, if you behave well, I might agree on giving you blood again." The brunette smiled, revealing his two sharp teeth. His eyes turned silver for a few seconds before they went back to normal and he backed away.

Despite the smirk Jeno had plastered on his face, Renjun saw how well he managed to hide his feelings. He said nothing though, because he knew the taller might get angry at him.

"What will you do when my people will find out about you?" Renjun decided to ask, and he walked away, knowing he would be followed by the vampire. When Jeno finally reached him and his shoulder touched Renjun's, the short vampire looked up. He was curious, despite all his problems and the fact that he got used.

"Run away I guess or kill everyone who is in my way." Jeno ran a hand through his hair while he looked up at the blue sky. His eyes were shining with desire, sign that starting a war would actually be a nice thing from his point of view. "You know, we're pretty similar. You and me." Their eyes met when Jeno glanced at him.

"What do you mean?" Renjun chuckled and looked away. "You're crazy."

"You're as crazy as I am don't worry." Jeno's reply made Renjun flinch and look back at him. What did he mean by that? "You literally tried to kill your lover for power. Don't tell me you wouldn't do something similar again." An understanding smile formed his lips as he said that. "For example, I'm going home in two days to show my parents what I can do if someone bothers me too much."

"What will you do?" Renjun asked, suddenly feeling interested in the topic. He kind of had the feeling that he knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it coming from Jeno's mouth.

"You can come with me and you will see." The brunette chuckled and sighed loudly. "Jaemin might come as well. It's going to be weekend anyway so we are allowed to go home."

"Do you really think Miss Kim will let him?" Renjun scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Don't be silly."

"Who said I was going to ask for her permission?" Jeno glanced at him again as they walked closer to the school. They were going to have afternoon classes, so they had to be inside the classroom before mister Moon.

"She's gonna kill you."

His response made Jeno laugh.

"Yeah, she's on my level, but that doesn't mean I couldn't rip her heart out of her chest in a matter of seconds."

The more he talked with the vampire about death, Renjun realized how similar they were in fact. Jeno was a vampire obsessed with seeing others suffer, exactly like Jaemin, but he was on a way more dangerous level than the raven haired. The main reason was his childhood, because the fact that he was trapped for so long made him go crazy.

"You will kill them right?" The brunette asked after a while and when he saw Jeno's creepy smile, he smiled as ell, because he understood really quickly. "Then you should show them how much you hate them for doing this to you." Renjun said and stopped the taller by placing his hand on his chest. Their eyes locked and for some reason, the short vampire has a connection with the prince. Maybe it was because he was also keen on killing people for his own interests.

"See? You can already feel the connection between us." Jeno ruffled his hair before climbing the stairs. "Come, we still have classes." The taller waved his hand and Renjun didn't have a choice but to follow him inside.
