PROLOGUE

"Who? Me? Bakit ako? Eh hindi naman iyan ang pinasok kong trabaho rito ha? Besides, hindi ako nag-apply sa kanya, I have a job in a fast food chain! I'm here to study, not to become his assistant!"
"You have no choice, Miss Sanchez. He will be the one to finance your study. Sa ayaw at sa gusto mo, you will follow his order."
"Ano? Baka gusto niyang siya ang dalhin dito sa emergency room? Kahit kailan at pahirap ang hatid sa akin ng matandang binatang 'to!" mahinang pananalita nito.
"Ha ano kamo?"
"Wala po ma'm."
Dali-daling siyang tumakbo papasok ng opisina ni Doctor Lavigne. Laking gulat niyang hindi ito ang nakaupo sa kanyang pwesto.
"Sino kayo? Bakit nand'yan kayo sa pwesto ni Doc?"
Tumayo ang isang lalaki na may maamong mukha. Habang ang isa na nakangisi at ang isa pa na nakaupo sa mismong swivel chair ni Doctor Lavigne ay lumapit sa kanya.
"We are the Lavigne Brothers."
