Shots

NEWT POV: 

I walked around the airport with Thomas. "You will get your shot at midnight" said Thomas. "Bloody perfect" I said annoyed. "You can hold my hand Newt" said Thomas. "I know, but it still hurts" I said. Thomas held my hand. "It's only to make sure you won't reach the gone. But the good news is once you are a full zombie you won't need it" said Thomas. "I can't bloody wait" I said. Thomas and I hung out till midnight. We set up a air mattress and pillow. There was also a blanket on the floor. I laid down on the mattress on my back. Thomas held my hand. I turned my head to look at him. "It's going to be okay Newt" said Thomas. "I know, I'm just nervous" I said. Thomas put his hand on my cheek. "Ready" asked the doctor. "Ya" I said. The doctor injected the shot in my neck. I winced in pain and squeezed my eyes shut. "It's almost over Newt" said Thomas. The doctor injected the medicine in me. It felt cold. The doctor finished and removed the needle. "It's over, you're all done" said Thomas. 

I opened my eyes and looked at Thomas. The doctor left. Thomas wiped the tear from my face and smiled. He hates seeing in pain. However the medicine makes me tired and my neck feel numb for a hour. Thomas put his hand that was on my cheek on my neck. "Does it still hurt" asked Thomas. "No, my neck is starting to feel a little numb" I said. I yawned. Thomas laid down and held me in his arms. He covered us up with the blanket. "Get some sleep" said Thomas. He kissed my forehead and I closed my eyes. I cuddled in Thomas' arms. I slept for a few hours. I was still pretty tired so Thomas had to get us some lunch. We just got Mac Donalds. I know, it's unhealthy and scolding hot coffee. I don't like Mac Donalds but I'll eat their food sometimes. I sat up and leaned on Thomas' chest as I ate. Thomas had a expired burger with raw meat. We ate and watched the planes outside. "Is your neck still numb" asked Thomas. "No, I'm just a little tired still" I said. After we ate I went back to napping. 

Thomas emptied the air mattress and put it in the bag. He picked up the pillow and blanket and put them in the bag. Thomas picked me up. "Where are we going" I asked tiredly. "It's a little loud here so I'm going to try to find a place more quiet" said Thomas. He carried me threw the airport looking for a place with less noise. Thomas set me on the floor with the pillow when he found the perfect place. Thomas set the air mattress. I opened my eyes and saw we are in a tunnel. Not really a tunnel but more of a hallway between terminals. Thomas laid me on the air mattress with the pillow and blanket. He laid with me and covered us up again. "Thanks Tommy" I said. I gave him a peck on the lips. "You're welcome" said Thomas. I closed my eyes and snuggled with Thomas. I'll probably sleep for another hour or so. When I was no longer tired Thomas and I went to the pool at the airport. It's just a pool and hot tub. Nothing fancy. I swam with Thomas till sunrise. We had to go back to the airplane at sunrise. Which is why I sleep during the day.
