Undying Love part 31

NEWT POV:

It has been eight human years. I was back home and Thomas finally talked me into seeing a doctor. I looked at my watch. I gonna be late. I started running and did a last check at my watch. I tripped over someone. 

"Sorry, I wasn't looking" I said. 

I got up and ran. I made it to the hospital and found Thomas. 

"Hey, you ready" he asked. 

"Sure" I said. 

Thomas held my hand. 

"You will be okay Newt" said Thomas. 

"I know, I'm just nervous" I said. 

We entered the hospital. We signed in and I sat in the waiting room nervously. Thomas hugged me and rubbed my back. 

"You will be okay Newt" said Thomas. 

"You are lucky I'm helping you but only because Newt can't walk" said Teresa. 

"Thank you" said Thomas. 

He carried me to the room. 

Another vision? Are they visions? I signed and closed my eyes. I laid against Thomas' chest. 

"I feel more confident with you by my side" I said. 

Thomas smiled and kissed my head. 

"You will be fine. It will be like when you first came here to check on the turning" said Thomas. 

I popped my eyes open and froze. 

"What" asked Thomas. 

"Nothing" I said. 

"Newt" said Thomas a little angry. 

"I might of gotten nervous and didn't show up to them" I said nervously. 

Thomas signed. 

"Newt, they are to make sure everything is okay. We all have check ups" said Thomas. 

"I know but I wasn't comfortable being naked in front of some else" I said sadly. 

"Newt it's a check up. I'm not jealous. The doctor won't touch you like I will" said Thomas. 

I blushed. 

"How often are the check ups though" I asked nervously.

THOMAS POV:

"Once a year. More if something is up but usually only once a year" I said. 

"So, do we have to go" asked Newt. 

"Well yes if you want to be heathy but they aren't going to force you" said Thomas. 

"So I can skip it" asked Newt. 

I signed. 

"Newt you are going. After you go to one I don't care if you skip the rest. It's just to make sure you turned properly" I said. 

Newt signed. 

"Fine, but I'm only ever being naked in front of you again" said Newt. 

I smiled. 

"Good that" I said. 

We were called into the room and started the visit. Newt had to take his shirt off and lay on the bed. The doctor looked at Newt's back. 

"Well, I can't promise that they will go away but I can heal them a little bit. However they will scare a little because there is still some stitches" said a doctor. 

"Can you remove them" I asked. 

"Yes, the stitches are no longer needed so the cuts should heal but will scare" said the doctor. 

"There is also tiny pieces of glass in my back I think" said Newt nervously. 

"Why didn't you tell me" I asked. 

"I didn't want to talk about it" said Newt. 

I signed. 

"You should of told me. We are soulmates" I said. 

"I know, I'm sorry Tommy" said Newt. 

"It's okay Newt, but next time please tell me" I said. 

The doctor removed the stitches and then they continued with the rest of the check up. Which was mostly eye exam, hearing, taste, feeling, reflexes, basic coronation, blood test, etc. Apparently your senses like sight and hearing are affected when you turn so you could have perfect eyesight but when you become a zombie you could have the worst sight. Newt however was perfectly healthy but the doctor signed us up to remove the glass tomorrow.
