With Newtmas 2

Vow of a King Intro

NEWT POV:

I was with my friends Minho and Gally. We were all zombies and walking around town. 

"Wait, I smell a human" said Gally. 

"What are they bloody doing beyond the walls" I asked. 

"Probably stealing from us. They know we have technology and make medicines and stuff so some humans try to steal it from hospitals and stuff" said Minho. 

"At least they can't bloody steal our food" I said. 

"Not with out their insides screaming at them" said Gally. 

We all laughed a little and ran to find the human. A final scream was heard from a women. I was shocked. Soulmates. But how? I didn't sense it when I first smelled the humans. 

"Newt you okay" asked Minho putting his hand on my shoulder. 

"Ya, just thought I sensed something" I said. 

Gally kicked down the door and we entered. There was a man, women, and a baby wrapped in a towel. The man pointed his gun at us. 

"You stay away beast" said the man. 

"Just because my hair is better than yours doesn't make us freaks" said Minho crossing his arms. 

Gally and I snickered as we looked at each other. I swear, nothing will get in the way of this shank bragging about his hair and how it is on fleek. I started walking up to the baby. The man pointed his gun at me. Gally took the gun and chucked it against the wall. I got on my knees and looked at the baby. He looked at me. I held out my finger and the baby grabbed it. I smiled as he held my finger. 

"What is his name" I asked. 

"Th,Thomas" said the mom. 

"Wait Newt, is he your soulmate" asked Minho. 

"What" I asked looking at him confused. 

"A zombie can tell when their soulmate is born. If their soulmate is human but once the child is no longer a new born they can't smell it and it goes back to the whole tasting rule" said Minho. 

I blushed a little. I looked at Thomas. 

"He is cute" I said. 

"Doesn't say much because every baby is cute" said Gally. 

"Except the ugly ones" said Minho. 

"Is that even possible, what the shuck would they look like" asked Gally. 

"Well then maybe it's a good thing you two can't have kids" I joked. 

Minho and Gally rolled their eyes. I took my necklace off and gave it to Thomas. I kissed his forehead and stood up. I was shot in the leg. I then noticed the dad grabbed the gun again. I fell to my knees in pain. The mom got up and ran to her husband. Minho and Gally ran up to me. 

"You can't tell if my son is your soulmate. You don't even know if he is gay but he will never be with you" said the father. 

They left. 

"We can catch them" said Gally. 

"No, I will find Thomas again. Besides, I can't bloody walk right now" I said. 

I was taken to the hospital and had the bullet removed. My leg healed but now I have a permanent limp. I tried to see Thomas but zombies can't go out in the sun. So every night Thomas is locked inside his house till sunrise. I have gone in the sun a few times to see Thomas over the years. I either have proper protection or I just stay in the shade. Thomas grew up a curious boy and I knew it was a matter of time before I would be able to be with him. Until then I will watch and protect him from the shadows.
