THOMAS POV:

The red light turned green and then darkness. I was scared. The top opened with a blinding light. I shield my eyes from the light.

"New greenie" said a boy.

I slowly put my hand down and let my eyes adjust. There was boys looking down at me. I tried to remember something. Nothing came back. Two boys opened the gate above me and one jumped down.

"Hey, you okay greenie" asked the boy.

He has some mad eye brow game. I said nothing. The other boy jumped down.

"Can you remember anything green bean" he asked.

I shook my head.

"Well my name is Alby" said the second boy.

"Come on greenie, let's get you out of here" said the first boy.

He held his hand out. I slowly took it and stood up. We climbed out of the box and I bolted. I didn't like this. So I ran. I ran past a boy. He was smiling at me. I tripped and face planted. I rolled over and the boys ran up to me. I looked up but I couldn't see the boy anymore. Which to be fair I was surround by more boys. They all asked if I was okay or if I need anything.

"I'm fine, I just tripped" I said.

They all relaxed and helped me up.

"Come on, it's time I give you the tour green bean" said Alby.

Everyone else went to work. Alby and I walked around the glade. He started talking a little bit. I wonder who that boy was. Those perfect brown eyes, his soft blond hair, and that smile of a angel. Okay I don't know for sure his hair is soft but I bet it is. Alby and I ended up on the tree fort.

"You respect this, and we will get along just find" said Alby.

I noticed some boys put flowers by a wall in one corner and there was a opening.

"What's out there in that opening and why are those boys putting flowers there" I asked pointing.

Alby looked at where I was pointing. I put my hand down and Alby signed. He looked back at me.

"We only have 4 rules" said Alby.

Seems easy. It's better then 600,000.

"One do you part, we ain't got time for any free loaders. Second never harm another glader" said Alby.

"None of this works unless we have trust. Third never go beyond those walls. It's too dangerous. And most importantly" said Alby.

I saw his eyes start to tear up.

"If you feel anything you tell someone. You can't just end it all like" Alby started.

"Like who" I asked.

Alby whipped his eyes and sniffed.

"Him" said Alby.

I said nothing. I don't know what to say.

"HEY ALBY" a voice yelled.

Oh thank God. The awkward silence is over. Alby and I looked down and saw a boy.

"HEY CHUCK, WHERE YOU BEEN MAN" asked Alby.

Chucked dropped the stuff and waved up at us.

"Come on" said Alby.

We climbed down the tree fort.

"Greenie meet Chuck" said Alby.

Alby jumped off the fort and walked up to Chuck.

"He was the last to arrive so he gets to break you in" said Alby putting his hand on Chuck's shoulder.

I jumped off the fort and walked up to them.

"Hey nice to meet you. I got all your stuff ready. We got a great spot for you right next to mine" said Chuck.

He tossed me the stuff and I caught it.

"Do you have a name yet" asked Chuck.

I tried to think.

"Don't worry about it" said Chuck.
