Undying Love part 32

THOMAS POV:

"Oh for crying out loud Tom. We only have a few minutes before Newt is done with surgery. Just grab a bouquet of flowers and let's go" said Teresa annoyed. 

"But they have to be perfect" I said. 

"Well pick or I will choose for you" said Teresa. 

I signed and grabbed some flowers. I also got Newt a card. I paid and we went to the hospital. We checked in and went to Newt's room. I put the flowers in a vase and set them on the table. Newt weakly laid there on his bed. I ran up to Newt and I brushed his bangs out of his face. 

"Tommy" said Newt weakly. 

I smiled. 

"Hey, how do you feel" I asked. 

"Like I had the most painful thing in the bloody world" said Newt. 

"You'll be okay Newt. The pain medicine will kick in" I said. 

"Anyway I have to go back to work" said Teresa. 

We said good bye and Teresa left. I was alone with Newt. He looked at the flowers. 

"Are those flowers dead" asked Newt. 

"Ya, zombies do dead flowers to their loved ones. Living flowers is more like dead flowers to people. It's more of a insult" I said. 

Newt smiled. 

"I actually find that romantic" said Newt. 

"Well your mind set did change" I said. 

"Clearly, I remember how I use to think that eating people was disgusting but then there was the moment with out our humanity" said Newt. 

I smiled and blushed a little. 

"Ya but to be honest if you were human at that time I would of been more protective and probably turn you" I said.

NEWT POV:

"How would a zombie even act with their soulmate being human? I mean with out their humanity" I said. 

"Um, I probably would of tried to feed you cooked meat and try to pleasure and impress you. So I guess it's more of a love struck puppy but if another zombie or someone tried to take you away from me I would of turned into their worst nightmare" said Thomas. 

"I guess the soulmate is something you don't want to mess with" I said laughing a little. 

Thomas laughed two. 

"Unless you want to feel the most painful thing in the world" said Thomas. 

Thomas took his hand off my face. 

"The doctors said you have to stay here for a few days but after that we can go home and you can rest a little there" said Thomas. 

"Good that, but I can't wait to get back to work" I said. 

"You will have plenty time for that later but I have some good news" said Thomas smiling. 

"What" I asked. 

"I asked the doctors if you will take a bath while staying here. They said probably not but I should be careful when we are taking a bath at home" said Thomas. 

"Do we have to be careful during sex" I asked. 

"We can if you want" said Thomas. 

He winked at me and I blushed. We talked some more until we walked around the hospital. The national guard came threw the hospital. Mostly they just have the newbies explore a zombie town and see that zombies exist. I held hands with Thomas as I walked. I bumped shoulders with a guard. 

"Sorry" I said. 

The guard said nothing and frowned at me. He might not trust the zombies. Plus I can hardly walk straight because of how bloody weak I am after the surgery. Which is why Thomas was holding my hand. The guard seemed familiar though. Who was he?
