With Newtmas 2

Vow of a King part 1

THOMAS POV: ~AGE 5~

I unlocked my window and crawled onto the roof. It was 4th of July and I want to see the fireworks. I got a idea. I could sneak out away from the house and come back before they know I'm gone. I used my shirts and blankets to make a rope. I tied it to my bed and threw the rope out the window. I climbed down and ran off to see the fireworks. I was still in my pajamas. I made it to the fire work show. There was humans and zombies here. During holidays the zombies have sworn not to hunt us. Which is good I guess. I found a spot on the grass and sat down. The fire works started. They were really pretty but also very loud. I covered my ears. A man walked up to me. He had blond hair and brown eyes. He was a zombie. The zombies have to where a outfit that has a z with a circle around it when they are in the human town. Which is only allowed on holidays. Plus he has the face of a zombie. The man got on his knees. 

"Try these" said the man handing me ear plugs. 

I put them in and uncovered my ears. I smiled as the fireworks didn't hurt my ears anymore. 

"Where are your parents" asked the man. 

"Home, I snuck out" I said. 

The man sat down next to me. 

"Well I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone so is it okay if I stay and watch you for a bit" asked the man. 

I nodded. 

"What is your name" I asked. 

"Newt" said the man. 

We watched the fireworks until they were over. After that it was mostly shopping booths and activities in the park. I was able to take the ear plugs out. Newt did buy us some food. Which was mostly a snack. Newt and I didn't really shop so instead we just played at the park. I sat on the swing. 

"Newt can you push me" I asked. 

"Sure" said Newt. 

He grabbed the swing and started to push me so I can swing. Two other zombies walked by holding hands. I think they are dating. They talked to Newt but I didn't listen. One had mad eyebrows and the other had hair gel. In his bag. I played at the park and went into a bouncy house. They found a way to have technology and stuff in the human town so it's almost like the dark years of the zombie apocalypse never happened. I crawled out of the bouncy tired and ready to go to sleep. Newt sat me down and put my shoes on. 

"Come on Thomas, it's time I take you home" said Newt picking me up. 

I closed my eyes and fell asleep against his chest. Not really, I was still awake but ready to sleep. 

"Thomas" my mom said happily. 

I opened my eyes and saw my parents. My mom took me out of Newt's arms. 

"Are you hurt" she asked. 

"I'm fine mom" I said. 

My mom hugged me. 

"I'm glad you are safe Thomas" said my mom. 

"Thomas we told you before that it is dangerous outside at night. What were you thinking" asked my dad. 

"I just wanted to see the fireworks and it's fine. Newt and those two were with me" I said pointing to Newt. 

There was a silence as they glared at each other. I was confused but figured it's probably some boring adult stuff and has nothing to do with me. 

"Come on let's get you home" said my mom.
