Ch. 8 Meeting the Hawkins'

The next day after school, the gang had all gone to interrogate Rex and Weevil. Joey was carrying Rex by the back of his shirt while Tristan was carrying Weevil by the back of his shirt.

"Take your paws off me, you sasquatch!" Weevil demanded sharply.

"Yeah, don't make me get all ninja on your butt." Rex agreed with Weevil threateningly.

"And how exactly are you gonna do that?" Sora asked as she was glaring at both Rex and Weevil while she had her arms crossed.

"I got an idea, dude." Tristan suddenly made an idea.

"See how far we can toss these dweebs?" Joey agreed with Tristan.

"Hold on a second, guys! We gotta find out what happened to them." Lea eased Joey and Tristan, which made both Rex and Weevil blush that she was defending them.

"Sh-she's got a point!" Rex stuttered nervously, only to earn a jealous glare from Weevil.

With that, both Joey and Tristan released their grips on Rex and Weevil, and as soon as Rex and Weevil landed on the ground, they both sent Lea a sweet thankful look, making Lea a bit confused.

"All right, now try to remember everything you guys did yesterday." Yugi told Rex and Weevil firmly, just before they both stood up to their feets.

"First I woke up and went to the bathroom." Rex answered sharply, which made Sora roll her eyes as she murmured "Yeah right" under her breath.

"He means after that!" Weevil corrected, just before Rex gave an explanation about the time when he and Weevil met Gurimo and had a duel with him.

"After that, we all dueled, and he squashed Weevil like a cockroach."

Weevil just smacked Rex on the back really hard so Weevil could give his explanation, "Rex was holding us back. I would have won, but the guy played some weird card called the Seal of Something."

"The Seal of Orichalcos?" Both Sora and Yugi inquired together, as they were obviously surprised.

"Yeah, that's it." Weevil nodded in realization.

"And I thought it was one of those fake knock-off cards." Rex chimed in.

"He didn't happen to mention anything about a plan to steal the three Egyptian God cards, did he?" Yugi asked, as he was hoping that the answer would be no.

'Please say he didn't.' Sora thought nervously.

"Wait, they're gone?!" Rex asked, as he was startled.

"He took em. Well, he and his gang of thugs did." Yugi answered quietly.

"No way!" Rex exclaimed in disbelief.

"Seriously?!" Weevil chimed in, with the same level of disbelief.

"Seriously." Yugi nodded firmly, while Sora looked down with a sigh.

"Hey, we'll win em back one-two-three, and you two better tell us if you see four suspicious looking biker punks, three guys and one girl, alright?" Joey stated confidently, before he and the others began heading on their way.

"Sure we will." Rex agreed.

"You'll be the first to know." Weevil chimed in, but Sora knew that both Rex and Weevil wouldn't tell them first because obviously they were up to something.

"First things got freaky at the museum, then monsters started appearing around the world, and now a gang of bikers are stealing people's souls with a Duel Monsters card." Tristan ranted.
