Ch. 21 An Insecure Duel: Sora vs Kylie

So the duel between Sora and Kylie began, and Sora told Kylie boldly, "I'll let you go first."

"Fine!" Kylie snapped back, just before she drew her first card and saw which card she had just drawn.

"So first I drew Pot of Greed, which of course allows me to draw two cards."

Valon smiled as he felt proud of Kylie's move while she drew two cards and examined them for a moment until she said, "Next I'll place one card facedown in defense mode, and that ends my turn."

Sora drew her card, "I'll summon Demodog in attack mode and have him attack your facedown monster."

So her Demodog ran over to Kylie's facedown card, which appeared to be a Fire Princess, and destroyed it.

"I'll then place one card facedown and end my turn." Sora announced firmly, which made Kylie shocked that she had just played Demodog.

She then drew her next card, which appeared to be a Ghost Knight, and she announced, "I'll summon my Ghost Knight in attack mode."

The Ghost Knight appeared on the field, and believe it or not, it had a huge resemblance to those ghost knights from that old live action Disney movie called Bedknobs and Broomsticks where the knights from the museum came to life due to Angela Lansbury's character's magic so they could fight the nazis during the Second World War.

Sora took a moment to recognize that Ghost Knight since she had a feeling that she saw it from somewhere, until it suddenly hit her and she commented, "Hey, I remember that Knight somewhere from an old live action Disney movie!"

"Because that's exactly where it's from! Too bad this thing's not on your side like they were since childhood!!!" Kylie sneered.

"Ok, then let's see what your Knight can do!" Sora snapped back.

"With pleasure." Kylie nodded, just before she turned to her Ghost Knight. "Ghost Knight, attack her Demodog!"

Sora shook her head just as Ghost Knight started his attack, "Nice try, Kylie, but I activate my trap card Mirror Force, which destroys all your monsters in attack mode."

The Mirror Force card lifted up, and a beam of light hit Kylie's Ghost Knight and destroyed him but luckily no life points went down.

Kylie was shocked for a moment, but she growled as she drew her card, "Fine. I place one card facedown and I'll end my turn."

The rest of the duel continued really well. Kylie had fought her hardest in the battle, but Sora was always one step ahead of her. About half way into the duel, Sora had the upper hand as she had 950 life points and Kylie had 400 life points. Kylie groaned in frustration as she watched the playing field for a moment. Sora had Demogorgon on the field and Spellbinding Circle activated Kylie's most best card called Angel Queen and reduced its attack points from 4000 to 3300. And with Kylie having only two cards in her hand now due to her activating Swords of Revealing Light a few turns ago, which had now vanished and not helped her at all, the Angel Queen's attack and defense points were now at 2300 life points, thanks to Sora's special ability.

Kylie examined her cards for a moment, and her plan was to use Malevolent Nuzzler to raise her Angel Queen's attack points to 2700 on her next turn, and use it to destroy Sora's Demogorgon.

Sora drew her card and announced, "It's my turn now. First I'll activate the magic card Card Destruction, which means we have to discard our hand and draw a new one with the same amount of cards that we discarded."
