Ch. 27 On the wrong track

Meanwhile at the train station...

"How long is this train ride anyway?" Tea asked.

"Too long." Joey answered, which made Tea groan tiredly.

"Any chance you wanna go instead of me, Duke?"

"No can do, Tea. Marcella and I gotta stick with Professor Hawkins in case those biker punks come back." Duke stated confidently.

"Exactly." Marcella agreed with her brother while smiling.

"Duke's right, plus he and Marcella's gotta keep an eye on Rebecca too." Tristan added, which made both Sora and Lea remember the time when Rebecca wanted to go with them.

"Don't worry though, cause the least I did was have a gentle talk with her." Lea smiled, which made Sora giggle in agreement. Then she turned to face Yami and saw that he was still hurting about how Yugi's soul got taken because of how he played the Seal of Orichalcos card, and it made Sora really worried for him as her heart was hurting so much.

'Poor Yami.' She thought as she wanted so badly to comfort him.

"You better get on before you miss your ride." Duke suddenly told the gang.

"We got plenty of time." Joey reassured, just as the bells of the train rang.

"No we don't." Tristan shook his head, and that was when the gang began going inside the train.

"Like I said, all aboard." Joey stated.

"Take care, Duke. Take care, Marcella." Tea bid the siblings goodbye.

Marcella nodded and said, "You too, Tea."

As soon as the gang had all gotten inside the train, the train began moving forward and both Duke and Marcella just waved the gang goodbye.

Joey waved back at the siblings and said with a smile on his face, "See you later, Devlin! See you later, Luna!"

"Hey, let's hit the dining cart." Tristan suggested giddily.

"Now you're talkin' my language." Joey grinned, before he, Tristan, Lea, Tea, Sora and Yami all sat on their seats.

Joey and Tristan were just happily eating their snacks, while Tea was comforting Lea because she was still heartbroken about how she wouldn't be able to see Mokuba because of how Seto was so furious at Yami for losing the duel so Lea's hopes on seeing Mokuba had just become crushed because of that.

Sora on the other hand was looking at Yami with so much worry in her face, and all she could think was, 'He's barely said a word all day, I've gotta get him to say something.'

Then she began to pretend she was sneezing as she hoped this would get Yami to say something, but Yami didn't respond. Sora then had a second thought as she looked out the window, so she smiled and said, "Wow, check out that view! Isn't it awesome?!"

Again Yami didn't say anything, and it got Sora worried but she couldn't give up, "Florida really has the best beaches! Oh man, I think I forgot to pack my bathing suit!"

Yami didn't respond again, and Sora knew that trying to get him to speak wouldn't help him because he was still hurting really badly.

'Yami must really miss Yugi, I guess it's like a part of himself that's missing. The fun, carefree side.' She thought, just before she sighed as her thoughts went to Yugi and how she and her other friends would have so much fun with Yugi.

'I miss him too.'

Then she spoke to Yami and tried cheering him up the best way that she could, "Come on, you gotta cheer up. I promise we'll get Yugi back, but in the meantime, you can't just sit around moping. It might make you feel better to talk about it. We can even come up with a plan together."
