Ch. 18 Reconciliation

Yami, Sora, Seto, Joey and Lea's dragon cards were all glowing.

"No way! My mind must be playing tricks on me!" Seto exclaimed in disbelief.

"I doubt that. My card seems to be doing the same thing, Kaiba." Joey told Seto firmly.

"It feels as though these five dragons are calling out to us." Yami observed.

"You're right!" Both Sora and Lea agreed together, as they both could almost feel like their dragons were standing right next to them.

The five dragon cards soon stopped glowing, and it surprised everyone.

"I was told that fate had chosen five modern day warriors to release these legendary beasts." Yami explained as he looked at his dragon card.

Seto just snarled and snapped in disbelief, "Chosen by fate? Get real! I'm the one who decides my fate, Yugi! Not some fairy tale about mythical dragons and giant man-eating monsters!"

"Seto!" Sora scolded her brother sharply.

"Be reasonable for once! The world needs us. We must do this as a team." Yami pleaded to Seto firmly.

"He's right, Kaiba." Lea stepped in as she agreed with Yami.

"Sorry, I don't do the teamwork thing." Seto shook his head, which got Sora annoyed and she muttered "You did before many times" under her breath.

"Listen!" Yami started, but Seto just scoffed.

"You geeks have wasted enough of my time already. I have a multimillion dollar company to run. Play time's over."

Then he started walking, with Yami calling out to him sternly, "Kaiba!"

Seto just ignored him and kept walking(Much to Sora's annoyance as she murmured "My brother's just stubborn as always" under her breath), but he turned around and grinned at Marcella as he gave her a light wave goodbye. Marcella felt her cheeks blush, and she returned the gesture.

Before Mokuba could follow his big brother, he placed both of his hands on Lea's cheeks and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. He soon pulled away and mouthed 'bye' to her before he started following Seto, "Seto, wait up!"

Lea just stood there, placing her hand to her heart while her body and her face warmed up a bit as she watched both of Sora's brothers leaving.

"We don't need him weighing us down anyway." Joey sighed, only to earn a look from Sora. Even though she didn't like how stubborn her brother was, she also didn't like how Joey would make snarky comments about her brother. Joey smiled sheepishly in response just before Sora heard Seto call to her, "Be careful, Sora, alright?"

Sora smiled and nodded while she replied with, "Thanks, Seto. You and Mokuba as well. I'll see you two back home."

Seto smiled just before he eyed Yami while glaring at him and told him, "Yugi, I hope you haven't been dirty with my sister during the trip."

Yami glared back which got Sora to sweatdrop and she said, "Seto, we never did any of that. Besides, I'm a big girl so I can take care of myself."

"All right, Sora, if that's what you say, then I believe you. But you are my little sister so it's my job to look out for you." Seto replied honestly, just before both he and Mokuba proceeded to leave.

"With good old Hermos over here, those hoodlums won't stand a chance." Joey suddenly spoke as he looked at his dragon card with a grin on his face.

"Someone's back to their old self again. About time." Tristan grinned, as he noticed how goofy Joey was again after he had just been heartbroken about the fact that Lea wasn't able to save Mai.
