Ch. 12 Alister meets his girl

Meanwhile, Alister took off his helmet and appeared to be panting after he parked his bike somewhere in Domino because he had just finished his duel against Seto Kaiba back in Duelist Kingdom, it turned out to be a draw so neither his soul or Kaiba's had been taken by the Seal of Orichalcos. He was heading to the store because he was feeling really thirsty and needed something to drink in order to help him recover.

Inside the store, Dot had her earphones on because she was listening to another one of her favorite Ramones songs while she was waiting for a customer to show up and buy something.

(A/N: Fact: I've heard that song WAY long before Spider-Man Homecoming.)

All of a sudden, Dot saw somebody entering the store, so she quickly took off her earphones while pausing the song. After that, she looked up to see that Alister was panting so much and looked like he was thirsty.

"Hey, uh... could I please get a refreshment?" Alister asked her as he was still panting.

"Sure." Dot nodded, just before she went to find a bottle of water while Alister sat down while still panting because he was really exhausted after his duel against Kaiba.

Soon Dot came back with the water and she gave it to Alister while she said "Here" in her cool voice, and Alister took the water while saying "Thank you" before he drank it.

"Yeah, of course." Dot nodded as she was still being cool.

Alister was panting a little as he was exhausted from the duel he had and leaned against the wall, and after a while, Dot was curious to know what he went through when she saw him panting so much.

'What happened to him?' She thought, just before she knelt down in front of him but she kept her cool so that she wouldn't seem like a creep trying to get with him.

"You alright? You're panting as if you ran some kind of marathon. What the hell happened to you?" She asked him, to which Alister's eyes widened but he relaxed and told her, "I'm fine, just had a big-ass duel."

Dot raised her eyebrow, but she shrugged it off as she got up and went to get an energy bar. Then when she got it, she went back to Alister so she could give the bar to him while saying "Here."

Alister was surprised, but nonetheless he took it and opened it, "Thank you."

Dot nodded a little in reply before she went in the back to bring him a towel that was damp with cold water.

"Here, take this." She told him as she gave him the towel, and Alister took it before he cooled himself with it and thanked her. Dot nodded while smiling a little in reply, then she felt herself blush as well as she felt her heart flutter.

'Get it together, Dot! You only just met him!!!' She scolded herself as she was trying not to crush on Alister.

Alister then looked at Dot because he thought that she was really cute and beautiful in her eyes, but he shook his head because he realized that he was going soft and mushy. But he did still want to talk to her so he asked her, "Are you alone here?"

Dot shrugged and answered, "I don't know. Maybe."

Alister was confused, but he shrugged it off, "Are your parents here? Or..."

"They disowned me." Dot cut him off as she looked sad at the memory of when her parents disowned her, but then she shook her head while huffing. "But it doesn't matter cause I am old enough to take care of myself."

Alister was shocked and looked at her with wide eyes, "What about your siblings?"

"Don't have any." Dot shook her head, and Alister felt pang of sadness in his heart after he heard what Dot said because he remembered how he no longer had his little brother who he lost in the war caused by Gozaburo Kaiba.

Dot noticed his sadness, and asked him, "Why? Did you have siblings?"

Alister nodded his head sadly and looked away, which got Dot sad because she knew that a sibling of his was gone, "Oh... I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You didn't know." Alister reassured her, just before he took off his coat so he could cool himself.

Damn, Dot felt herself blushing so bright after she saw Alister take his coat off because she saw that he was wearing his crop top! She covered her blushing face with her hands so that she wouldn't show that she's blushing.

Alister saw her covering her face so he asked her, "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Dot realized what she was doing, so she rapidly shook her head and replied with, "N-nothing. I'm fine."

Alister was confused but he shrugged and let it go before he suddenly realized that he hadn't told the black-haired girl his name, so he suddenly smiled and held up his hand as he hoped that Dot would shake it and said, "I'm Alister."

Dot smiled back at him while she took his hand in hers and replied with "I'm Dot. Dot Hargrove."

While both Alister and Dot shook each other's hands, Alister was fascinated by her name, "Dot... that's a unique name for a girl like you."

"Well... thanks." Dot replied while blushing shyly and she was rubbing her cheek with her finger. She was hoping that he wouldn't find out about her real name Dorothy since she absolutely hated being called that and claims that it makes her sound flimsy as hell.

"Well, it was nice talking to you, Dot. I think I should go." Alister said as he suddenly stood up.

"Ok, bye." Dot nodded just before Alister went to leave... but then he stopped for a moment because he remembered the words Valon told him just a few days ago.

"You're just jealous because you don't have someone to make you happy!" He heard Valon's voice echoing in his mind, which got him to growl in anger because he was not gonna let Valon rub the fact that he's with Kylie in his face.

'I can't let that Aussie dude beat me! Plus, Dot's making me feel different than before.' He thought, just before he turned around and walked towards Dot.

"Actually, what time do you get out?" He asked her, which made her surprised but she answered with "In 1 hour. Why?"

"Because I just thought that maybe we could... you know, hang out? Besides, you're a little lonely, aren't you?"

Dot felt her heart stop at everything Alister said to her, this was the first time anyone had ever cared about her ever since her parents disowned her(Of course she still had her aunt and uncle who helped her move in to her apartment, but Alister was something else).

"Uh... yeah." Dot managed to say, just before she smiled. "I think I could use some company. Thanks, man."

Alister nodded while he also smiled as well, and damn, he was actually starting to feel something he hadn't felt in a long time ever since he lost his little brother Mikey in the war. He had a warm and fuzzy feeling inside his heart, and he really liked it a lot.
